Think your comments have some merit Right On regarding the Stars but thought the endeavour was not the major problem on Saturday. The skills of some of the players and their inability to hit targets also had alot to do with the end result and for some of their performances this year!!I think half of doutta Stars were in the toilets today.Lots of them playing for money and not for the club and most of all for their team mates.Only couple can put their hand up.Club needs to put their hands up weed out the money hunters.I would start next year and make Kade Carey caption of the club as he a great leader and worth his weight in gold and takes no shit.Pretty the umpires let players jump all over him every week and he gets no free kicks.But this is not to say Docs is not a great leader too,but i think it might be better of just playing his last 2 years with out the pressure of leading the club and enjoy just playing.Lets finish off the season with some heart.
i even noticed in the magoos where Keilor flogged Douttas Keilors skills were very very good for 2's footy and that makes so much difference.
Actually i would agree about the stars disposal being woffle and i guess if it wasnt for the third quarter scores would have been tighter and Keilor seemed to be able to take numerous marks inside ther 50 but yeah would have,could have
Anyway Keilor have definately improved as the year has gone on i would say,WC nealy beat them early on and Douttas did beat them oh and Oakers had a win against them too but 2nd half of the year both DS and WC were easily accounted and i would expect the same for OP second time round.I guess they ran GV close early on aswell.In a couple of weeks Keilor V Strathmore could be interesting.Im probably clutching at straws but i guess they are the only one with any chance of beating the top 2 or is it as simple as GV v Strathmore and thats that???
and well done boys I went and watched Douttas V Greenvale and GV won by nine goals but i thought Douttas done really well,especially in the first quarter where they easily played better then GV and played with much more intencity.Well we all knew it would be very hard to keep that up for for 4 quarters but they had a dip all day
I know we can all have a bad day and not to judge a team on one performance but GV dont seem invincible to me,im pretty sure they were at full strength but i couldnt see any reason why Starthmore or even Keilor yes i said Keilor could beat them.
Theres no doubt about it they have class players but i wasnt overly impressed with the full forward,dropped many marks never chases and may be relishing in a great side,can play a bit but someone like Zahra,Little or even Barnard could easily account for him but those peaks boys!geez they are a handfull,R didnt dominate but H was outstanding.
GV all run forward as a great side can do,Douttas did it last year with great success as they had a great side but yeah may be a bit dangerous if Strathmore and Keilor are on there game and the Marcy's,Nutters,Mays etc are on there game and it would seem that Starthmores forward line are just getting more potent as the season goes on as is Keilors.Anyway its all good atleast there is a little interest now and with a good side GV are beatable no doubt
