The timing was inappropriate I think is the point.

I think those comparing to Goodes or Gablett being booed will find they are both totally different scenarios.

I didn't tell you that umpires lost the game. I said that players can only control the ball if the umpires control the game in accordance with the rules. Your stats mean nothing in the context of yesterday's game.

The umpire obviously saw the backman holding. Forward in best position to take mark, backman out of position,takes eyes off ball to engage the forward. Forward thinks If we start wresting here I’m a shoe in for a free...Wrestling ensues backman gets pinged... happens all the time. The umpire may have got it wrong but it’s pretty easy to see why he called it the way he did.

As for them 25 frees you got in the goal square against Richmond to our 9.. well I don’t know what was going on there. They were probably just cheating that day.
