i think you'll find that most essendon supporters tend to ignore the media when they make their posts about the club. we're well aware of the state the club is in, and the gassing up of the club that occurs on occassion is mostly treated with a grain of salt or outright disagreement.

take the last fortnight's fiasco about our rock solid defence. we're "fine" sure, but we were vsing clubs that are at our level or worse. no one genuinely thought that the backline is one of the best in the league, it's just the onesided, cherry picked stat points held aloft by sports media that champion data gives them. (**** champion data btw, useless stuff).

The EFC factions crap is pure urban myth.

Granted it was rife during the Sheedy years with board members like Alec Epis stirring up things with his unwavering support for Sheeds. Then Hirdy comes in with Evans and his bunch.

But these days it’s pretty much standard management of the club down the line with full support for Scott until at least for this and next season.

Caro is a proven Essendon hater who just can’t help herself relentlessly conjuring up negative stories about the club..and certain other clubs.

Her three year long hatchet job of the EFC during the supplements saga is case in point.
