peeps who get that he's a paid employee of benz who have stood by him for yonks providing him with top cars that have enabled him to win so many world championships. ordinary on his part, but not surprising.

Thank you for being outraged on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Group and driving this important issue, because they don't seem to be taking it seriously and honestly don't seem to give a single s*it about it. Absolute news story of the year and it's not getting any media attention. Give him a week off for every Ferrari cap signed and make him wear a scratchy hessian sack as his next fashion item this week at the Canadian Grand Prix.

It's a joke, of all the things to care about in the world and be outraged about Lewis signing a couple of ferrari caps ranks firmly in the bottom 5. It always gives me a laugh seeing people getting outraged on behalf of multinational organisations, especially when the organisation itself doesn't care.

I think he was Stoeffls
He was Bottas' manager when he was at Williams until he signed for Merc

I also believe he used to be George Russell manager in his early Williams days as well.

Other previous drivers I can find record of him managing include:
Pastor Maldonado, Bruno Senna, Rubens Barrichello, Nico Hülkenberg

You don't think a company paying him millions as a brand ambassador would get upset at him saying in interviews the team is trying to make him lose and signing gear for your direct competitor?

I dare say they are fuming but making it into something bigger is only going to chase more Lewis fans away from the company for now they will bite their tongues.

There is supposedly a rumour Hyundai are interested in buying an F1 team. If true and if it were to happen one would have to assume it would be Alpine.

Leaked concept. Already runs better than the initial Alpine model this year

TBH I'm surprised more of these EV maker marques aren't going into Formula E.

That would be my guess. Take Carlos out of the equation and there isn't really anyone to go into that seat.
Especially since they don't rate Yuki and DR hasn't been great and Hadjar I assume they want to see more out of before they potentially promote him.

RBR must need his sponsorship money because he's been putrid.
He's done what he did last year - started really well, before falling into a massive hole. He was horrid at both Monaco and Monza, but hasn't been too far off the mark in the other races. He was on the podium in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Japan & China - but he wouldn't want his current form to continue, like it did in the latter half of 2023.

Interesting that Perez ending up getting the 2 year extension he wanted. That was the original sticking point from negations earlier this year, RBR (Marko apparently) only wanted to give him 1 year extensions giving his form (and to "keep him hungry), he wanted 2. And the fact that its a full 2 year extension (And not a 1+1 option) means Perez won out in the end. Interesting considering his massive drop off in form over the last few races, you would think it would have gone the other way.

Its looking more and more likely that Horner has in fact consolidated his power base at RBR after all, with Marko now having near on zero influence (outside of Verstappen saying he needs be in the team if RBR want Max to hang around)

So does Ric take a seat at a lower team like Kick Sauber and Haas to stay in F1, or does he jump into V8 Supercars or some other form of Motorsport?

Really unfortunate and disappointed to see his career end like this. He was much more likely to win an F1 championship than Webber. But timing is everything.

NASCAR is probably the best bet. Can't see him being offered a seat at another F1 team.

I'm pretty sure that RIC is still technically contracted to RBR for 2025 and has just been on loan to VCARB on a one year deal for 2024, so unless VCARB want to run Yuki and Lawson for 2025, I think RIC hangs around the RBR junior team for another year (something he said a month ago he was happy to do).

Honestly still his best chance of somehow getting a "top" drive for 2026. And if that fails, NASCAR/Indycar will still always be there for him in 2026 and beyond.

He's definitely an RBR driver, on loan to VCARB. However, I don't believe he's contracted for 2025.

Right now, VCARB has 3 drivers, and 2 positions - Yuki, Daniel, and Lawson. 3 into 2 doesn't go, and it's almost certain that Lawson will be driving for VCARB in 2025.

The only way Daniel survives is if Yuki departs. This is a distinct possibility. Yuki's ambitions of a promotion to RBR have been shattered, and there's now a reasonable chance that he will seek new opportunities elsewhere. He's tied to Honda, who will be supplying Aston Martin from 2026. I could easily see him moving there in 2026, but with Alonso already contracted for 2025, and Lance Stroll being the team owner's son, there's SFA chance of him getting a gig there next year. The question is whether or not he moves to another team, not tied to Honda, noting that a seat at Alpine has just opened up!

He's a safe bet while they're dominant. Get some sponsorship money and he's so far off Max you don't need to worry about an internal rivalry causing issues.
A Mexican Valterri Bottas.
