They had a year to fix up Bioshock, and it still comes out worse on the PS3.

Since when has the 360 outperformed the PS3? Part of performance is reliability, and 75% of 360's fail.

Even if games were dumbed down for the 360, which is sounds a bit fanciful, this doesn't explain why they still look worse on the apparently unbelievably powerful ps3.

Why isnt the PS3 version made to the quality of PC version if its capable of such amazing things? The quality of the apparently inferior 360 version of games is irrelevant.

Or is it that 3rd party producers can't be arsed muching around getting things to work on the complicated ps3 seeing as it accounts for such a small percentage of sales.

Sales are not particularly in favour of the 360. Certianly not enough to claim any kind of victory or even edge, not to mention sales are completely irrelevant to most people.

Many cross platform games are better on PS3 - GTA4 for example.

Not to mention, every single one of the 360's best games is available in a better format. What is, honestly, the point of buying a 360? I bought one well over a year ago and have no idea why.

But this isnt an old game, your not trying to run Doom on either console but rather a game that has just been released.

Apparently Gears 2 WILL NOT be going to PC according to Cliff Bleszinski

I believe it's due to poor PC sales of Gears 1 and also due to piracy

I'm totally pumped for this game! Never played a Fallout game before, but I'm a big TES fan and I have a heap of time for any Bethesda title. Gonna be great to lay back to the early hours of morning just like with Oblivion.

And Karl, who cares if it's on PC. - Of course any good xbox game will be on PC. Microsoft built the xbox with similar components to that of a PC, and seeing how it'll only work on a Microsoft OS, it's all lining in the pockets for them anyway.

I am pretty sure that game developers find sales very relevant. It is after all a business. If they choose not to make a game because they will not make a good enough profit then it is relevant to gamers like us as well.

The PS3 will end up outselling the xbox as sony makes consoles to last over 5 years.

It's sad that the Wii has about 5 quality games, 2 which are ports. Has potential, but sadly I havent played mine for about 5 months now. Still the casuals will keep lapping it up, buying Wii Fit and Wii Sports, and therefore keeping Nintendo's head in the sand...

This is the game that will make my buy a new computer (or Xbox or PS3) even if I can't afford to do so. It just looks amazing.

Some of my fondest gaming memories are of playing its 2 predecessors, which still hold up quite well today, even with their clunky as **** interfaces. Very excited.

The clerks at JB Hi Fi are pretty excited too, apparently. On Tuesday one of them caught me looking at the display case for the game and said 'Mate, fair dinkum, this game is gonna be RAD.' I can't believe he said 'rad'. In hindsight I think he was setting me up for a radscorpion joke but I failed to pick up on it. Poor fella.

FO3 will be a travesty & a disgrace to a proud RPG franchise. all vids i've seen so far suggest it'll be a generic sci-fi FPS based on the horrendously overrated oblivion engine. also appears to have about as much RP depth as bubble bobble. entirely undeserving of the prestigious fallout tag. why couldn't bethesda just keep the **** away from the franchise & make some pissy half-life 2 ripoff??

I wasnt talking about which one was better I was just pointing out some economic facts about the relevance of sales to our friend Karl. The Wii aims at a totally different market its about having fun with friends not being a gamer, but yes no one can deny the Wiis success.

But in relation to the game Fallout to say that it wont be an RPG is ridiculous. From what I have seen it will be the most in-depth console RPG since Oblivion. Just because you have the ability to use a 1st person perspective does not mean its a watered down RPG, its just progression in gaming. Im sure if you played entirely like a run of the mill FPS then you will get very frustrated with the game because I dont think you will make it very far.
