Not that it would make any difference; however the payment for my online order got taken out yesterday and JB said once game was shipped......
All I'd have to do is take a 5 minute detour via EB on my way to catch the tram home tomorrow...

I received an email from JB in reagrds to my order-

"We will be processing all pre-orders for this game over the next few days , and this means you will receive a shipping confirmation email for your order ----------------------, in the coming days. Due to a strict supplier embargo we are not able to physically ship any orders until Monday next week. Please note that the current release date is the 10/11/2015."

Sounds like they are concerned it's going to break street date so letting people know early it won't be sent out.

They better start pre loading the game on steam soon. My guts telling me it may release early as there are full blown streams of the game on now.

Would steam release the game early if the street date is broken?
I really hope pre-loading comes at latest by tomorrow.

Certainly sounds that way.

I remember a 3-4 years ago. It was pretty common for street dates to be broken. Have things changed?

Yes.
Publishers are far stricter on these things as they put a lot of marketing dollars behind launch days.

And more importantly retailers now work on more modern systems, so they literally can't scan items that aren't released yet.

Publishers started giving out bigger fines and other stuff. I think some Target or Kmart stores got fines and were not given games until after the game releases.

Its more about the fines and them being enforced.

Breaking embargo is a big concern for retailers now so communication has improved to make sure staff don't make silly mistakes. Suppliers have threatened to and followed through with the removal of funding to retailers which can hit them hard in an industry without profit on the core item itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the embargo is broken, but it's less likely than it was a few years ago.

****ing BS, i pre-order a physical copy. now not only does it turn out i still have to download the ****ing game, i also get it a day late because they are lifting the embargo a day early on steam but not retailers.

and a mate spoiled what happens in the vault for me due to the fact that the street dates already been broken overseas.

just release the ****ing game
