So im at work all weekend and cant help but watch Fallout 4 vids. Im currently only level 22 but after seeing this vid below i really want to take some time to build an impressive settlement

Only thing that stops me is that the attacks from raiders and mutants etc dont seem to justify sinking so much time into building a fortress. I really hope the scale of attacks get higher the higher level you get in the game. My main settlement is at the Abernathy farm and 4 guardposts with about 12 turrets was enough to destroy a deathclaw attack and some supermutants before they could get close.

Would be pretty neat if you randomly discover a settlement with a happiness of zero and return from questing to see it in ruins with dead settlers everywhere.

pretty interesting base.. I'll def steal some ideas for my own

That base is cool. Never thought of sectionong off Sanctuary like that. Makes sense when everyone just hangs around the top anyway. I think I'll look at doing something similar. I've been working mostly on the drive in though. I've been using prefabs and with all the power and lighting it is starting to look like a small town with alleys and stuff.

Finally got a real solid session in today with no interruptions. 1 day 20 hours level 27. Finally collecting some awesome weapons. Found a plasma infused 10mm with the chance to goo enemies. I've modded it to 38 base damage with it does 11 plasma on top. I generally use either that or my revolver indoors then my hunting/sniper rifle outdoors. I still carry Righteous Authority but I just don't find enough fusion cells, even with scrounger to use it as my main all the time.

How do people change the colour of their HP bars?

Also what factions have people chosen.. I want to go something that wont hurt my relationship chances with Piper... Im not sure I like the BoS in this game..

Colour is in settings

I hate the brotherhood, always kill them every fallout given the option. Stuck up pricks

Usually you can do a few missions for all the factions until you eventually have to either stick with em or turn on them. At least thats how that was in previous games
Sweet, cheers. How exactly do you do it though?
You just go to the very top of the perk chart, until you are actually on the SPECIAL skill (its like the top perk), spend the point on that and it goes up one level

at the .10 min mark I realised how pathetic my settlement looks.

Thanks heaps mate. Lol, so simple looking at it now

Having a campaigner of a time doing one of Rhys cleanout missions at some big factory.

Ghouls coming from everywhere and they're smashing me silly... melee build not liking me right now.

Also, I love this game.

Haha I remember that mission!
I ended up putting it on hold and leveled up a bit before completing it.
I got heaps close to completing it a lot at the level I originally was doing it the first time, but the difficulty/frustration got to me.

My collection of useless melee bullshit I'll never use that I get from legendary enemies. Spoilers for size.

Can't leave home without my trusty rolling pin or plank of wood. I also have about 4 different machetes that I couldn't be bothered screenshotting.

I got most of those early too. So useless haha
Give me some perks to invest points in.
Better crits
Idiot savant
Scavenger.

Pick a type of weapon you like, melee, pistols, auto rifle, semi auto rifle etc, and level that perk up several times. Don't spread yourself over several weapon types, you'll just end up ok at all types and not a death machine with one type
