Fantasia vs. Sicily vs. Hunt

Orazio Fantasia, James Sicily and Jayden Hunt.
These three were taken 55, 56 and 57 respectively in the 2013 draft.
Some fantastic late drafting by the recruiting staff of their clubs.
All three look like players, which will be the best player at the end of their career?

Fantasia for me, can play at both ends and I like what he's been able to do at a young age in a side well beaten and on the losing end most weeks.

Hunt has been great playing a role not many can and Fantasia is a ripper who will be even better playing in a good side next year.

Still too early to say I think. I've not seen much of Hunt because I haven't seen much of Melbourne generally in recent times I guess. But the little I have seen has been impressive.

Fantasia and Sicily are both very impressive. Fantasia has a silkiness that excites me greatly as a Dons fan; all in all, hard to believe these three slipped as far as they did.

Good thread. I like them all, Sicily is the most complete player at this stage. I like Jayden hunts daring runs. I can see Fantasia as a pure goal sneak, having a Steven Milne like career. He got my vote.

Fantasia just got his nomination a few weeks ago when Sicily was playing his best footy and got his nomination he seemed the better player, now the roles have reversed.

After the dust settles I'd say there seasons would end up being very comparable / even.

Any dons supporter would be stupid not to say Fanta.
Any Hawks supporter would be stupid bot to say Sicily.

I think Sicily has the potential to be the best of the lot. Not sure if he will though.

I voted Fantasia as he looks the most versatile and dangerous in front of goals. For a little bloke he's got plenty of courage too, the mark he took running back with the flight against Richmond really impressed me. With the 12 (or at least most of them) coming back next season, I think he'll be a very damaging player.

Sicily has been super impressive, has great hands and is a very good kick for goal. I always figured he'd get found out when given more responsibility and when the better defenders started coming to him, but he's proved me wrong in Roughy's absence.

Hunt's pace can be a game changer, but he has issues with decision making and biting off a bit too much from time to time. I'm confident given a few more years he'll have overcome those issues and can have a long career.

You would know better then I do. Don't follow the bottom few teams awfully closely.
But Sicilys 5 is better then 4.4 anyway you try and spin it. Not trying to disrespect the amount of skill it takes to have 8 shots on goal but it is what it is.

Also rating players on 1 stat alone is pretty unfair, I think it's a safe bet to say over there parallel careers sic will most likely finish with the higher goal tally.
But MF/Pf - SF/Mid. Lemon - Lime. Apple - Orange.

Gotta say I disagree that sicilys 5 was better than fantasias 4.4

Fantasia was easily the best player on the ground until he got ko'ed going back with the flight during the third quarter. Should have also had 2 goal assists, but Mitch brown kicked the ball into the goalpost from 3 metres out
