Creeping through the bush to avoid enemy strongholds on my way to the next mission and got mauled by a tiger. Emptied what few bullets I had into its head... That just pissed him off and he launched at me.. Needless to say, my couple of knife swipes couldn't save me.
That sort of stuff makes mid mission travel interesting.

I have played both and I would recommend FC3 over Hitman.

Haven't played FC3, but Hitman is extremely good, especially the contracts mode.

Alright, i've given in, been trying to hold out on getting this game but just can't, just ordered it from BTB, couldn't turn that deal down.

Once i finish Hitman, it's onto this, can't wait.

I'm going to agree with Knighta21 here.

Having played both Far Cry 3 and Hitman, Far Cry 3 is the better game. I love the Hitman series and Absolution, but Far Cry 3 is just so much fun it's incredible.

The only disappointing aspect of Far Cry 3, is that it has to end at some point. I just wish it was an un-ending game and that the stories, side missions, relics, radio towers, outposts, everything just kept popping up and kept me going.

It's so damn fun, you really can't go wrong with the game, it will appeal to just about anyone. Where Hitman is very much for a specific audience and even that audience may not get the game all that much. It's far slower and far more meticulous (not a bad thing however).

For pure fun, Far Cry 3 is the winner and just about GOTY for me (still gotta finish it to know where I'm at there).

So once you finish the game that's it? no free-roaming or anything like AC3, Skyrim, RDR etc.

Well, I don't know, I assume you do go back.

However I was more on the point that once you get to 100%, collecting all relics, lost letters, memory cards, finishing all side missions and story missions as well as getting all skills, animals, weapons, etc. there won't be a whole lot of '**** around' value in the game. The best parts of the game, is when you're going and completing something and crazy shit happens along the way or while you're doing that thing (like JADED's story above - I have had many a thing happen similar, like when going to an outpost to liberate and then suddenly a Tiger just casually walks in and mauls the living bejesus out of everyone and everything in sight completing the liberation for me).

It's not exactly a GTA where you'll necessarily want to spend hours and hours just ****ing shit up after you've done everything.

Speaking of awesome moments.

Planted C4 about 150m ahead of two pirates walking down the road, and waited in the bushes. Just as they walked over the C4 and I detonated, a jeep carrying 3-4 other pirates drove past (AT THE EXACT SAME TIME), sending 6 pirate bodies flying, as well as a jeep in about 6 pieces. Multikill

I learnt pretty quickly that bullets just piss them off more, must have kevlar skin

It's not exactly a GTA where you'll necessarily want to spend hours and hours just ******* shit up after you've done everything.

I have a wingsuit and C4, i'm sure i can find something creative to do once finished There's also co-op when everyone wants to jump on that.
