I finally got around to finishing the story this week and i have to agree with everyones comments about vaas being under used.
The potential was huge for that guy to be one of the greatest villains this gen has seen, and they ****ed it up.

See I didn't mind Hoyt, which is part of why I didn't mind Vaas being underused as much as others.

I would've preferred they cut out that Bruce-Aussie guy bit and had a bit more Vaas time though.

Vaas is one of the most perfectly-written villains I've ever witnessed in my opinion, was definitely well and truly underused though. Although if I recall correctly Ubisoft hinted that that may not be the last we see of him...might be thinking of something else.

I play this in very small doses so that it lasts but what a brilliant game , was stuck in a COD rut since COD4 but no more , my eyes have been opened . Shot a shark then dove in to skin it and another came from nowhere and scared the shyte out of me , fun times.

Incredible game is incredible. Seriously. Bought it cheap on boxing day but only got around to actually playing it last night, only a few hours in but hooked already.

First thing I did when I got past the hand-holding was swim across a river and get eaten by a ****ing alligator. Immediately knew that I was going to love this game.

Saw a relic icon on the map in the ocean, jumped on the jetski and went diving to look for it, heard Jaws type music, shat myself, swam back up to jetski and noticed two sharks swimming around me, immediately jumped on and hammered it straight back to land.

Hahaha, fantastic. Sharks aren't too bad actually, most of the time they just nudge you a few times before you're in deep shit. Alligators just pop up from Narnia and eat you immediately.

That's good to know, I thought they'd just one hit kill you. Best part so far is taking out enemy composts. I like to pretend I'm Solid Snake and try to kill everyone without triggering an alarm.

Yeah, the outposts are pretty fun. I fully upgraded my sniper rifle with an extended scope and silencer pretty early, so I just found a high point, shot the alarms, shot the cages if there were any, and then start picking off the guys one by one starting with the snipers and RPGs.
I was a fan of the hunting missions they give you, as much as they're frustrating sometimes.

Ugh, that 1st one where you have to kill 5 rabid dogs...took my like 10 minutes to find the last one, don't know where the bastard was hiding.

There are a couple like that. There's one where you have to kill something like 10 dogs with a flamethrower (bit of overkill ) and it took me so freaking long to find them all. Ended up setting half the forest on fire to find the stupid thing.

Funnily enough the Jet Ski's are the best way to take out the Sharks.

Just run over them in it

Just finished the main story today.

Did anyone else feel disappointed with the missions? Seemed to lack any depth and there was only a select few that felt rewarding. Especially towards the last 10 or so missions, many times I left feeling "is that it"?

Now all I have left to do is some supply drops, side quests and relics. Oh, co-op as well.

Now that I've upgraded all the takedown abilities I can go true stealth killing style through these outposts. Nothing like chaining some takedowns then throwing a knife at the last guy just as he notices you massacring his squadmates. Also love the 'death from above' takedowns.

first of all you need to upgrade your rifle with a better scope I'd say. Only the advanced scope can zoom, cost a couple of hungies

That's funny, I don't think I ever used the bow and arrow because I found it too hard/inaccurate. Is there a trick to it?

You've gotta learn to judge the distance. The markings on the marksman's scope for it have distances in metres; you use the line dedicated to the distance your target's at. Takes a fair bit of practice.
