I agree. Most people would use their right!I very much doubt that is the most likely outcome.

Poor boxing. If you're leading with a hook you should use your lead hand which in the case of a right hander would be the left hook.Katching![]()

I'm a lefty and I never saw the left hook coming in my brief time boxing.Thanks. That's why I never saw them coming.
Surprised Chris Gayle hasn't been mentioned for being a misogynist who should be locked up for life.
I don't know anyone who would react that way to being hit on by a gay guy. I had an uncomfortable cab ride where a man crossed the line numerous times, in very forceful ways, can't say at any point I thought to hit him.
I was kissed on the neck by a girl when I was in a relationship, I just let her know I wasnt interested and that her behaviour wasn't on, then left the situation.
The first did, the second didn't.Yeah. Did it happen with a senior work colleague?

That's a polite way of putting it. But yes, after a work xmas party, we shared a cab as we were going to similar areas. The cab ride? A gay colleague hit on you in a cab?
The equivalent would be giving a presentation at work while your gay colleague interrupts with comments how attractive you are and how he will take you for a drink once you nail this presentation. That's a polite way of putting it. Yes but none of those situations happened on live TV and you weren't being hit on by a celebrity, were you?Surprised Chris Gayle hasn't been mentioned for being a misogynist who should be locked up for life.

they were in reference to Maggie mentioning what would happen if Briggs had done it to one of her friends they would have hit him.Yes but none of those situations happened on live TV and you weren't being hit on by a celebrity, were you?
Gayle's actions weren't a hanging offence. Ill-thought out? Yes. McLaughlin was clearly uncomfortable with it.
Apology from Gayle is in order, and then move on.
Might just be my office, but I hear jokes like this all the time. Although it's mainly from male sales managers to male sales staff. The equivalent would be giving a presentation at work while your gay colleague interrupts with comments how attractive you are and how he will take you for a drink once you nail this presentation.
After you put in all the work to squeeze the content into a short space - it isn't taken seriously.
You do realise you're the one who brought this up.You're just like the rad fems looking for any reason to be offended.they were in reference to Maggie mentioning what would happen if Briggs had done it to one of her friends they would have hit him.
Gayle should apologise if Mclaughlin is offended/annoyed/embarrassed. She may look at it as one of those was embarrassing at the time but is now funny things. I suppose an apology could happen either way.
The over the top people are the ones calling for suspension/fines/comparing it to domestic violence.
I explained, off the cuff remark. I have no idea about boxing or fighting, but seem to remember many years ago, someone was explaining that you jab with one hand and hit with the other. Not sure which hand though.I very much doubt that is the most likely outcome.
I mentioned it as a piss take, since it's all over social media. You do realise you're the one who brought this up.You're just like the rad fems looking for any reason to be offended.
Generally jab with your non dominant and hook with your dominant, but you can hook with non dominant.I explained, off the cuff remark. Jab with your non dominant hand which you lead with as you'll have somewhat of a side-on stance to minimise the target you make. Usually you set up with a jab or two then throw a straight right (right handers) which you might also call a right cross. A hook is a punch that comes in from more of a side angle think about throwing the punch with your elbow raised around shoulder height. A left hook would be the more natural hook for a right hander to throw so you were initially correct. Thanks, sorry I said it now but have learned about boxing.
Thank you and you are right. Standing at 5', I think I am better off just ducking then running.Jab with your non dominant hand which you lead with as you'll have somewhat of a side-on stance to minimise the target you make. The hook has more distance to travel than a straight punch so it's slower to target so if you were to throw one punch that was a hook it would indeed be the left. Takes a lot of talent or your opponent not looking to land a right hook particularly without other punches to set it up. I'm sure you didn't need any of this but I didn't want you throwing ill advised punches Maggie.

Well your suspicion is wrong.
