These two have been compared alot in the past I know but now Lloyd has come off a big break do you think it will effect his goal kicking next season?

Who will be more effective for their respective clubs next season?

imo i recon Fev will do better

However if lloyd can bounce back well from his injury he will get 70+ goals

these sort of polls dont faze me, next year well see which one does better for there team

The BigFooty populus must have memories akin to goldfish.

Fev is even yet to kick 100+ in a season. Lloyd has done it twice.

In Fevola's 8 seasons in the comp, he has kicked 328 goals.
In Lloyd's first 8 seasons in the comp, he kicked 506 goals.

Its unknown how Lloyd will come back next season, but he was on fire earlier in the season prior doing his hammy in Round 3. I think the Lloyd will get back to his best in 2007.

Brilliant! Shall I lock it in now then that Lloyd will kick more goals than Fev next year based on that stat... That is what the poll is asking I believe.

PS: Lock in Carlton to win the flag next year. They have won 16 flags in their first 109 years in the comp so they're a monty! Good luck and happy punting ;)

Did you not read the part that said it is unknown how Lloyd will come back next year?

Is goals the only variable on assessing who is more effective?

That is a valid point. Lloyd has been far more consistent over a longer period. But with Fev, I think we've only seen about 60% of this guys potential. I doubt we'll ever see Matty kick over 100 again. Even before his injury, there were some signs that his one-dimensional old-fashion style FF technique was becoming much less effective. Many Dons fans noted this. Fev's style is more conducive to the modern game. I'm sure he'll be looking forward to delivery from elite talents like Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs , Kade Simpson etc next year, as would any KP forward. :)

I think it's more the case of will the umpires remember their love child after he has been out of the game for so long ...and has he been maintaining his diving skills in his time out ? If the maggotts reclaim him as their own then i think the breezer boy will do quite well next year :D

Will be a great battle for the Coleman

Think Fevs greater supply and Carltons greater reliance on him may make it difficult for Lloydy. Expect Johns and Lucas to score 40 plus

Barry was just staiting a fact, another fact is that essendon have also won 16 flags in their first 109 years in the comp. Will tht now confuse you with your monty? ;)

If both players play a full season fit, Lloyd will surely kick more. The reasons are as follws:

- He is better on the lead
- He is a better mark
- He reads the play better and will "steal" more goals
- He has more natural talent, contrary to what was previously written, as evidenced by his first few season return....
- He is a better kick for goal from any position on the ground.
- He is better at "working" the umpires
- Essendon have more inside 50's this year, and I expect that will continue next year even though Carlton apparently have such an awesome young midfield  .

Good day all......

Hahaha! Good call. Let's just say that 15th and 16th from 2006 are now equal flag favourites in 2007 :thumbsu:

This is coming from a guy who goes for a club with only 1 premiership in their tragic history...

i can't believe this comparision, Llyod is clearly the superior player, look at their records. One good season does not put Fev into Llyod's league, gee Carlton supporters will look for anything to hang their hat on.

Loved the way carlton shopped him around last year, very close to joining richmond. Imagine how carlton would have gone this season without him.
