UT is great to play. Probably my favorite mode TBH. I love making my own fantasy teams.

For those people new to it, best way of making money is playing the transfer market with EPL players. Buy low, sell high. Might be a bit hard until the market settles down a bit (a month or so).

Am definietly noticing the gameplay changes.

The goalies bobble the ball around more. No longer auto catch.
No longer is tackle an automatic change of possession

The through lob has been juiced. The slightest touch and it goes 20 metres
The CPU does this annoying thing when I am jockeying them. They will run directly backwards for 40 metres then quickly clear the ball

To those who bought it for PC and downloaded that 3.3gb file, do you have to install the game first before you can access the download?

I'm still waiting on my copy to arrive so if I could get the download out of the way first it'll speed things up!

For people getting shitty at this year's CM, it's a trillion times better than last year. Atletico Madrid came hard for Cahill on deadline day, and got as high as 12.5 million, but I told them repeatedly where they could stick it.

Only business I did in this first window was buy a really good scout, and send him on his way.

I must say, I'm enjoying this far more than I thought I would.

Has anyone played Manager Mode for long enough to see if the player growth is any better than FIFA 11?

In 11 buying young kids and playing them from the start did almost nothing to their growth. Hope it is better in 12

Well done a season with my beloved Arsenal. Still hard to gauge how good the player growth is but Gibbs has gone up to 78 from 75. A numerous other youngsters have played and gone up so not too bad. Btw buy Vargas from Fiorentina, the guy is an absolute machine!!

How many others here have made some changes to the Controller Configuration?

I switched Contain - A/X (Xbox/PS3) with Team Contain - RB/R1 because I found it awkward trying to make a player Sprint (RT/R2) whilst also calling for the Team Contain.

Anyone else having trouble getting in to the Ultimate Team web app?, whenever I try it says I have to log out of FIFA on my PS3, my PS3 is turned off.

Yes, unfortunately you do

If you want to save a bit of time you can download Origin and setup an account. It's a bit like Steam. When you get home and install the game it will attach your FIFA cd key to your Origin account. After installing, which takes about 5-10 minutes, you will have to download the 3.3 Gb patch

Maybe I'll hit you up for an online game sometime? I played one last night against someone from Europe and the lag was ridiculous. How I held on for only a 0-1 loss was beyond me. He mustn't have been very good. That one goal was an own goal too because the delay was too long and my player didn't clear the ball, instead just dribbling it into my own net.

I picked it up at the midnight launch a few hours ago, for 35 pounds (winning) and have launched into Virtual Pro. I can see already why people are complaining about the tactical defence as once you lose the ball the other team just passes around until they finally decide to make a run through. The better defence you play, the more they pass it back and forth.

Went online and played a Team Pro game and managed to score in the 7th minute, thanks to an errant pass from one of their defenders that put me through one on one with the goalie. As long as you get people on your team that know how to position themselves properly, then it is fun. When players are just running around offside all the time it gets very annoying.

I need to go to bed now and have a proper play when I am a bit more awake tomorrow.

Started up a manager mode with Arsenal, playing world class but feels a lot harder than 11 on world class.

Won 1-0, then lost 1-0 to Liverpool. Got Man United coming up. I just cannot convert. My team is:

Well my worries are gone now. Deleted all my save game data via the XMB (didn't really matter because I hadn't really started anything), so now my virtual pro is gone and he won't keep popping up in all my favourite teams whenever I play anything with them.

Also in the process of importing music to my PS3 so "Fire" plays while the highlight reel is on. Winning

I should be more detailed. Do you need to have a music cd that you own and rip songs from the xbox/ps3 from that to the hard drive or can you just go through your files though a media centre established from your PC to your xbox?

Yes and no regarding pro online. Randomly you will definitely get some d-bags, but most are out there to pass around and have fun too.

Best thing? Grab some friends off here or on your friends list and create a pro club. If 2 or more are on you can have a game against other clubs and it will be infinitely more fun.

Gold packs are pretty much just pure luck really. I think you just gotta buy your players cheap in auction. I like buying packs but I never get anything good really. Got Meireles yesterday, saw him being sold for about 4k. Tempted to sell him.
