I think the team has the right balance. We need midfielders for the big ground down at Tassie. Wouldn't have minded Edwards in for Brown.

A lot of attention will go on Harvey and Wells and I bet Sansbury will find plenty of space on his own. The question is, will he be able to use it?

agree with your assumption speedy - Sewell will do a good job on Harvey i think and wells will be closely monitored but as you said they cant tag everyone and players like Swallow, Sansbury,Smith,Harris will find plenty of space and must use that very well - thats the best thing abouty us this year usually tag wells and harvey and we are gone - now we dont just have Simpson we have players that are coming along nicely that will find plenty of space - expect a big battle in the midfield

If you have stepped back and watched the way the Roos are playing at the moment you should have noticed that they attack Harvey's tagger with uncompromised brut force.

Who ever gets the job will be a sore boy at the end of te day no matter the result.

Like i said in another earlier thread, I would not be surprsied if we do not see Azza back this season. He has a dodgy knee and since he has not been playing we have not declined in on field performance, in fact the oppoaite so I reckon he will find it hard to get back in. Don't get me wrong, i am not bagging Azza and i hope he does play again however it is getting tougher and togher to get a gig in the 1's .... which i guess is a good thing. Anyways here's to hawking some feathers on to the turf at Aurora!!!

Considering he doesn't kick ANY??? goals in the SAME league he dominated last season...I can't help but think he has become TOO complacent with life again. As for the team performance...I still believe WE MISS HIM, that linkman has become Shagga all of a sudden, robbing Shagga of his usual roaming forward role...it's all gone to Shagga's head about his new role and his goal nous has drastically stalled. C'mon AZZA, we need ya.

Look, true to the thread's title, I could throw a tanty and say that this is the worst dropping since the ABC canned The Glasshouse's ass, but I find my general distaste for the selector's choice to go with Captain Beep Test over The Echelon is tempered somewhat by the simple fact that, in the long-view, Lower will make it as an AFL footballer, and Sansbury won't.

My only real concern for the weekend's game is now an aesthetic one. No Thomo....no Azza....no Echelon. That's leaving us looking a little exposed in the sexiness stakes. I'm scared we just might not be attractive enough to win.

Corrine Grant is a fool. Wil Anderson is annoying, and - sheesh - just a little on the egotistical side, but this negative was always balanced by the quality of the show's writers, material, etc....

As much as I have on occasion tried (mainly just for kicks), I still find it very hard to dislike Dave Hughes.

I have one question... have we signed Aaron Edwards past this year? I was under the impression his drafting was on a one year trial basis. He is not making it into the seniors at the moment so is his career with us at risk? I would be very surprised if we didn't extend his contract as I think he would be a gun one-two with Thommo but...
