Who is in your top eight?

Mine looks like this
Pies
Cats
Hawks
Eagles
Blues
freo
Swans
Saints

We play the Eagles in the first week and then meet the Hawks in the prelim. It will be a difficult feat to knock them off as i believe they are a tough team full or stars.

My tip is we meet Carlton in the Grandfinal after they beat St kilda and Geelong. Carlton will not come close to challenging us and we will go on to take out the 2011 premiership.:D

Collingwood v west coast we will win... Cats v hawks win to hawks... West coast to play sydney and win... Geelong v saints Geelong win... Pies v Geelong hawks v west coast. Pies v west coast grand final( hopefully)

Hawks backline is a major concern also, they lack real quality down there against the better teams, as shown by 3 of their 4 losses coming against the Pies and Cats.

Hawks will hold on to 3rd, more out of sheer grit then anything, 4th place is where the battle will be, and it may come down to round 24 when the Blues play the Saints, and the Eagles have a near certain win against the Crows.

God I'd love Carlton to finish 5th, play Stkilda and get knocked out.:)

I have the same teams but Swans 6th, Freo 7th.

This. Barring major injuries, it is hard to go past Pies v Cats GF but finals are a different ballgame. I thought the same last year and St.Kilda (umpire assisted) knocked off Geelong in the QF.
 
i honestly could not care less who we play when in the finals (altho it would be sweet to embarass carlton on the biggest stage of all on 1 oct). as long as the pies play somewhere around their capabilities they will destroy all comers in sept, there is not another team that can challenge the pies on their merits. the rest are just hoping that something goes wrong with the black and white machine on the day - don't take that as over confidence, it is simply a fact on exposed form. i am by no means considering the flag a given, as we all know anything can happen on the day. but we should not be concerning ourselves with who we play in week 1 etc. as long as we play well we win, simple

Having West Coast in the QF, Hawthorn in the PF and Geelong in the GF.

I'd love Carlton get knocked out first up but I'm sure they'd take a home final against Freo!

West Coast have a pretty easy run home, and Carlton's bye will mean even if it wins all its games, it will probably finish 5th unless someone unlikely upsets WCE.

I think St.Kilda will have a strong finish home.

If Essendon get a full squad by finals time, they could give the Blues a scare in the elimination final.

Can't get to complacent....look what happened to Geelong in 2008 when raging favourites against Hawthorn. If we play anything like we did last Saturday night, we will get smashed
 
I have my own version which has Carltoon winning the spoon every year until armageddon.:thumbsu:
Never bee a fan of the predictor, as by the time the actual results are in and it's in a position to be useful, you can work it out yourself.
 
I posted this in another thread but apt in here.

WCE have only 2 possible losing games and they are Bulldogs & Melbourne @ Melbourne. Other games Crows, Essendon & Richmond @ Subi & LIons @ Gabba.

carlton have to beat Hawthorn & St.Kilda along with Freo @ Subi to have any chance but still rely on WCE losing a game.

Then you have Essendon, St.Kilda, Swans, Freo, North & Melbourne to fill the remaining 3 spots.

Ess (34): Pies, Swans (h), WB, WCE (a), Port, bye: finish (42)

ahhh i find this so frustrating. If we win this and that they win that they they will them and we will play the other. Brain freeze!

I just want us to pull our finger out and start hitting our strides.

Difference between Saints and us is we know how to win a GF and the draw taught us how easily you can let one get away when you are favourites. A lesson that won't be lost on our players come September. MM s final game - GF for Taz and Leon...the stars are aligned.
 
You guys cannot be serious about being nervous.

Last year was the time for being nervous. We won the flag now, they know what it takes, something St.Kilda still don't know. The draw has actually helped the boys even MORE, because they also know how it feels to let it slip.

As I've been saying all year, the only thing stoping back to back is a monumental stuff up by us, or (knock on wood) half the side or more going down with injury at once.

Don't see anyone getting remotely close once we kick into gear.
