You knocking Marcus '30 something then lose concentration and play dumb shot' Harris.
30 is at best more likely 10-15, Knick off then drop catches in the field and cost us tests

What do you guys want? Marcus Harris won't play he'll be running drinks all series. If it was someone else you'd complain that they should go back to the Shield and have games under their belt.
Handscomb and Renshaw are stiff but at the moment they won't be getting a game in our best XI
Please stop. I get secondhand embarrassment from anyone who cheers against their own team.Disappointing that Warner keeps his spot despite performing like ass, and same as head but oh well hopefully we lose against WI and RSA put some heat on the selectors and captain woke

If you are happy watching dad's army clunk around I'm not we lost to bloody sri Lanka with this lotPlease stop. I get secondhand embarrassment from anyone who cheers against their own team.
Doesn't there have to be a minimum three day gap between matches? So, if starting on a Friday and scheduled to finish Tuesday then Wed,Thu,Fri have to be matchless. That's also why Sydney starts 3 Jan instead of the old 2 Jan.Yup reckon you will be spot on with the crowd sizes
why the F**k this is not starting on friday is beyond me
Labuschagne averages 54 from 28 tests and you want him dropped for 3 quiet shield games? Lmao.
Did I read someone is complaining with Marnus selection ? Is that actually for real ?
To be fair if it’s from the ODI squad I can see the merit as I’m nit sure we should be carrying both him and Smith it’s one or the other not both
Would I be correct in saying these are 1 day cricket averages only,if only pucovski's head was right.

Nah I'm talking Test team.
30 is at best more likely 10-15, Knick off then drop catches in the field and cost us tests
Why name the test squad now ??
Devalues the shield IMO.....back in the day if you scored 3 hundreds in a row in the shield your name was up in lights...what happens if Handscomb makes another hundred??...head fails again starc bowls s** neser/jhye pick up another 5 for ??
stupid for me should of waited to after the shield games just before the test to name the squad
100% with you Westie. Our selectors continue to lose the plot. They have to keep the sponsors, the player marketers and PR people happy. All about $$$$ these days.Devalues the shield IMO
The Shield is and has always been the stepping stone to Test selection. It used to be regarded as the best domestic comp in world cricket before CA degraded it by slicing it into two halves to cater for its 'cash cow' the BBL. In days past Pete Handscomb is being picked in the First Windies Test.I would argue that it’s the selectors job to know when to reward shield form. The guy slightly better in the shield often isn’t the best option for test cricket.

Agree Head is a borderline selection given recent form. Squad has been picked with the inclination to maintain the status quo. He will need runs in these two tests against the West Indies as Handscomb is breathing down his neck and is a superior player of spin.Agree on Marnus.. Head tho on the back of a couple of swashbuckling knocks against the Poms last year. Selectors oblivious that in one match their attack was down two quicks, the deck had settled down and Leach was bowling nudies. An open invitation for a hitter such as Travis. He is averaging about @22 in state cricket this season.
In years gone past we would've had five guys scoring runs like Handscomb and a guy with his technique doesn't get a look in.The Shield is and has always been the stepping stone to Test selection. Yes four years ago when he was sacked. He has worked big time on his technique since, eradicating his major flaws. I used to wince when I'd see him leaving his off stump exposed and like you questioned how he was considered first class standard let alone Test ready. Even when he looked like a schoolboy novice back then he still scored two Test tons and averaged close to @40 before the quality bowlers worked on his weaknesses..Handscomb with his technique
