No run at all this week, playing a very lazy brand of footy today

To really make a point they needed to come out and play with intensity to show that controversy and close, tough games are just something they take in their stride. If they lost a close one, then so be it... but just to roll over and play dead is bloody horrible to watch.

great opening 5 mins, not bad first quarter.
then we get that dodgy free in the middle and 50m penalty and we fall in a heap.

Good comeback in the last few minutes, pity Wiz and Black missed those shots... but it is only 6 goals... and for once we aren't being smashed in the clearances... just by the umps.

I normally like David Parkin... jeez he's bugging me today. Our goals are lucky, apparantly, but Yze/Robbo/Davey's snaps weren't lucky?

Without including Crowley as he was injured early, we had three players today that didn't lay one, single tackle. Don't worry about looking up the stats. You can probably guess who they are.

? (M Carr)
? (Medhurst)
? (Walker)

Now I know this board is always calling for Headland to be dropped and you'll get your way for a while through injury - but I'd have Des in the team before these guys. At least he's been in form this year. No 1 in club for long kicks and equal 1st in the AFL for inside 50's.

Walker will be in the WAFL next week. MCarr should be, same with Medhurst and Cookie... but who will come in to replace them?

M Carr needs to go back just so he knows that no one is immune. I just can't work out Medders. At times today he looked good, but for most of the season his long kicks have been bad decisions that have resulted in turnovers (much the same criticism we've had at times of Headland) Walker and Carr also turned the ball over at important times today, which resulted in goals to Melbourne. Shane Parker should be nervous too. But like you say, I doubt they'll make wholesale changes to the team.

I'm happier with keeping the youngen's, so they gain the confidence they need. Johnson, Mundy, Duffield being perfect examples. Carr, Medders, Walker however are experienced players now, and don't have the inconsistency of youth to use as an excuse.

Surely Walker, Medhurst (and even Matty on 2006 form) understand they are "borderline" players (and with competition for spots in the team) realise that they need to work harder, chase, tackle etc.

Webster was good for EP apparantly.bring him in for Carr.Peake for Walker,Hayden for Medhurst, and hopefully Longmuir back

Andrew Browne played today for Claremont - is he anywhere near it? What about Macca's injury? Will Des be fit next week - or is his injury a longer term one? Roger the Dodger?

I saw a bit of Browne on TV and he looks a few weeks away

Roger should come in and play Schammers role. We drafted him as a creative inside midfielder with great agility and thats where he should be

Crowls has been hanging on by the skin of his teeth for a couple of weeks - now it looks like he'll get an enforced rest. Murph might come back in - he's been doing okay down at Souths...

Bloody hope JLo comes good for next week...

I take most of who have posted saw the game.
I never expected to win this one.
Fair enough we looked flat had few turnovers made some unforced errors. Not enough bad play to warrant the final score.
I got a thick skin so here it goes.... The friggen maggots crucified us afriggengen. I dont know what the end count is I'll find out tomorrow or Monday.

Having said that I thought CC and his assistance did a pretty good job of seeing the writing on the wall and trying to even out the work load. The kpp's all got moved around we found out johhno will be worth more and more next conrtact he signs. Dodd spent a bit of time up forward, Medhurst did a bit of sweeping down back. A few other changes but I'd have to see the game again to pick them all.

I'm not dissapointed because like I said I never expected a win today I'm am angry that the maggots stitched us again.

Congratulations to the Dees they look pretty good. I just think the scoreline flattered them.

Still having trouble keeping our feet if the ground isnt 100% dry. Sure as shiz hope we dont have to play in a down pour this year.

I haven't seen all of the game yet but the ball movement in to the forward line seemed to be shizen... what was it in the first qtr...15 times to 6/7 and we're losing...
and Duffman and Johnson were great in the bits that I saw...
ah well, peacocks to featherdusters and back to peacocks next week!!
