But i reckon u guys will take Hurley becuase you need AAAAAAA defender:cool:

A very good chance your'e correct about Hurley. He is a great player and was an AA defender and I think I may have taken him in the Big Footy trial phantom draft as well!

Foj1 Phantom Draft

Pick 3 Fremantle- Daniel Rich

Pick 21 Fremantle- Neville Jetta

Pick 24 Fremantle- Aaron Cornelius

Pick 37 Fremantle- Matthew Deboer

Fremantle Pick 53 David Zaharakis

Fremantle Pick 56 Will Young

Fremantle Pick 72 Andrew Browne

Would be a pretty good result for Freo if we ended up with these boys at the club next year. Still leaves us one pick in the PSD, and 6 rookie spots to fill.

Nice work foj1. :thumbsu:

foj, your opion on tiller?

Caleb Tiller was on the cusp of my draft but I am not sold on an AFL position for him. Bit small for a key position and maybe not enough party tricks for onballer. He is bottom aged so would get another chance if not selected. He will definately be theresbouts come Nov.

Hey foj1, what's your justification for thinking the Hawks will deviate from their needs-based drafting with pick 16? They've only ever done that once under the administration for Dew, and I don't see Robinson as being so vital to the Hawks' plans that they wouldn't go for what they most obviously need, which is a KP back.

If they do pick a back at that position, who do you think they would go for? Lisle, maybe? He almost dropped to our second pick in your draft.

Grant and Boumann really influenced my thinking to be honest. In those two young blokes the Bullies have 2 pretty exciting young forwards. Tom Lynch is underated by many for mine although I concede his knee injury slowed him down while he was flying and I think the Bulldogs need to support Cross with a couple more ball winners although I concede Tom Liberatore and Mitchell Wallis both fulfill those roles and will be bottom aged TAC cup players next year and possible F/S selections in 2010. Jayden Post has zoomed up the charts but he is older than most and still was a little patchy especially early in the year. He actually reminds me of Sam Hunt who was virtually drafted on the strength of a dozen really good strong marking games. Again the opinions are my own and take them for what they are worth.

Cheers, love your work.

Have you any more info on Michael Still? All I have to go on is an impressive list of stats. I've never seen him play.

Overall a very well researched mock Foj. However I do find your selection of Luke Shuey for Melbourne quite bizarre considering we have a plethora of similar hard-at-it types running through the midfield, many of which have better footskills then Shuey. That's my only query, otherwise very very good job :thumbsu:

1 of the most sensible group of 1st 40 names I have seen. After 40 it's a lottery for me but I like your first 40 give or take a couple. :thumbsu:

I respect you're coming from here but Cross isn't alone, Boyd and Cooney both win the ball in close very well and Griffen is learning. Add to that Addison, Reid and even Higgins to go into the midfield in coming years and I think we are good to go. I would expect Suban to be more of a Gilbee successor down the track rather than play in the middle.

Would be stoked to get these to the Cattery

Lewis Johnston - reckon he will be a gun
Rounds- dont know him*
Sam Wright - love watching him star material
Steve Gaertner - worth a bit of a punt. Big boy

Whats peoples thoughts on Rounds?

Foji, you dont think that Liam Jones is going to get drafted?? He is a bottom aged player so cant be rookied, i reckon he will be pick up late by someone Melbourne or Saints maybe Hawthorn to fill there CHB vacancy.

I can't see the North picks coming through. North need a fullback and midfielders and you have selected a medium forward, a centre half forward/centre half back and a full forward. Forwards are the last thing North needs.

Lisle would be a possibility but I couldn't see the other two getting selected.

I will be amazed if Zaharakis lasts until pick 53.

to be honest with you.. i dont find his footskills that bad. Most ppl on here seem to judge him very harshly on that part of his game.. where as i dont think his to bad

i think he's more of a CHF type. i think richmond will be looking at him with our 3rd pick if we go mid and ruck with our first 2 picks

Dont forget the Father Son link with St.Kilda.

I recon mitch banner and rory slone will go higher
and pies will get sidebottom if still there
hope hamish hartlett goes to pick 11 but doubt it

Great read, not too sure about Andrew Browne going to Freo who play at Subi, that ground wouldn't suit him at all.

Only got in the 11's for the beep test at the Vic SS, and should have been 'as fit as' due to Murray playing in the TAC Cup GF.

Fantastic job, foj1.

There's always going to be a few points to disagree on, but as Sezzac1 said, it's a very sensible Top 40 (after that there's so many different names to throw around). I respect the uniqueness of your well researched draft. :thumbsu:
