Are we going to have the same old arguements this year about how the footy show is too Collingwood, how the it is better or worse then the Channel 7 show, how eddie has two chins, how eddie is too big for himself? Please too we have to be put through it? It has gone on long enough now, just worry about the footy.

So many people go on about how crap the Footy Show is, but geez, it's just a bit of light humour.

Personally I think it is SUCH a funny show, and if they did pelt John Barnes with rolls and make fart sounds when he spoke, I think it'd be funny. They do have a bit of a warped sense of humour on that show, and Eddie does go on a bit about Collingwood, but it's part of the show, and personally I like it.

Can see Eddie just Preeeeennnnniinnnggg in the opening show with how its 'only a year' ti wait until nine have the TV rights.

Interesting news of late has been the new ratings system they have installed. Seems nines not quite the market leader that its been pegged all those years. Wonder how the ratings will look for seven when the real footy starts, and if they would have been better off spending the extra dosh to retain it.

Yes, people will sook about it, week after week. But wouldn't they have to watch every week to do that?

The Footy Show is a good relaxing show to watch as the week winds down, and is a good bit of light entertainment with a footy theme, and the opportunity to watch Eddie getting bagged for his Pie allegiances more than make up for his propaganda.

The main thing wrong with the Footy Show is that for a NATIONAL show it's too Vic oriented. I usually tape it and fast forward thru all the crap till we come to the last segment which is usually 15 seconds of Crows stuff! lol.

I know you guys couldn't care less about the Crows, probably the same as I don't care much about your teams. The whole point is that its a NATIONAL show. If you don't want to talk about non-Vic teams, just show it in Victoria. The SA show does mention other teams a lilttle bit, but its only shown here. There's also a W.A. show - same thing.

If you're going to have a show about AUSTRALIANFL, then divide the time up equally between all games - 8 games with 5-10 minutes each.

Who said you were hiding it? I'm just saying that the show really doesn't cater for all teams - which no doubt must get up the nose of supporters. Collingwood supporters wont care - they know there's gunna be more Collingwood content than any other team - even if the Magpies are WAY down the ladder. Not everyone shares McGuires passion for Collingwood - he just doesn't realise that. I think its a joke that he hosts it - considering his position.
