This is starting to look like a better team that last weeks, although that might just be because Scarlett and Taylor are back. And with DJ the defense looks a bit better...

Disappointed to see Blake given a run ahead of West though, would like to see what he can do, and also disappointed Max is missing.

If someone told me come round 20 our ruckman would be Mumford and our bench would have DJ, Hogan and Gillies I would have called bullshit.

A lot of defenders in this team, six 192cm+ defenders. Reckon we could get a fist to the contest

Max looked very crook last week, not surprised to see him miss. Glad Tenace is out, Byrnes can consider himself lucky.

Starting to come together.

Same for if someone had told me Kane Tenace would get a game - let alone 5 in a row!

i have a weird feeling that flake will have his best game, only joshing

the lineup is looking good
chappie to come in, max and dash, and the squad is looking strong in 1-2 weeks
think our mids will be awesome
and manboy to kick 5

hmmm, i think we will smash them

now lets just hope Scarlett and Taylor don't go re-injuring themselves on that shitty ground. Groin problems are a worry because they're so easy to exacerbate (no that isn't an alternative to masturbate)

They are saying the ground is totally different to what it was last year, and won't (shouldn't) be a problem. Here's hoping.

Looking at that team, i'll be shocked if there isn't a late change.

Ottens, Chappy and Kelly to come back. That's a decent team. Provide the top names play well, we will need a decent output from hoever is playing out of Varcoe/Stokes/Hogan/Byrnes.

Personally I think Varcoe should play and then it is a toss up between one of the other 3.

That's better, thought Rooke would have missed last week to be honest after he was ko'd in the game against the Crows. Surely Blake is just a stop gap for Ottens for next week? You would think Laidler would be the emergency, how the hell does Longegan stay in there.

I think the reason for having so many tall defenders is so that Harry and Scarlo wont need to play a full game for their first week back from injury. If thats not the case then I would think there will definately be a late change.

Wow! We are going to have a real backline. I have forgotten what thats like. However i must say i am less than impressed with Blake getting back in. Although i think he is just there so the team gets used to playing with 2 ruckmen again while waiting for Ottens to return.

it is a tall backline that is for sure. I am glad to see Tenace out. He is only a depth player and we need to get games in the people who will hopefully take us through to the flag now. I am hoping Dog will show some improvement this week. But I will feel better when Chappy is back. Good to see Blakey back. We might actually win a center clearance now. I hope though he got the message and is showing he is more than a one trick pony now.

With that many tall defenders, is this a perfect opportunity to experiment with Taylor up forward for a couple of bursts?

Agreed...would normally say a bit too tall, but Sydney's playing pretty tall esp with Goodes as a forward thesedays. Scarlo might even getting him.

Given all our good tall defenders are back, and Gillies is going well, how the heck does Lonergan still stay in?

I'd be suprised if Vegas went.He got dropped, did his hammy a few days later, misses 4 [maybe 5 ?] weeks and suddenly returns as an emergency.Too risky.Give him a run in the magoos.
Ditto. We have to get some game time into him as he is a legitimate backup option come finals time if we get some injuries up forward.
