Taking Hodge out decreases the chance of Hawthorn spoiling the partyThis is the only thing the AFL will be weighing up
TV ratings particularly in Sydney
Not only for Friday but for the Brownlow and the Finals.
Taking Danger out and keeping Buddy and Heeney in, will improve the Swans chance of winning and making finals, but destroy the Brownlow count ratings, but improve the Sydney TV ratings during the finals.
The AFL is on par with the wrestling industry just into creating a TV and stadium spectacle to generate income.
So to work out what will happen ask yourself what would the WWE do?
He had the get out jail free jumper onHodge throws an arm and hits a stomach - $1,500 fine.
Buddy throws an arm and hits a head - Nothing in it.
MRP logic.

How is this not a week? Fmd did the MRP even grade this, or cite "unsighted" to get out of it?
Ball is out of the area, Careless Conduct, Medium Impact, High contact, so should be 2 down to 1 at the least, and that's before assessing whether the Conduct was Careless or Intentional.
Take a look at post #6 in this thread, shows franklin made contact when hodge was in possession of the ball. It started at shoulder level then slipped high![]()

The umpire paid a down the field free kick, therefore I believe it should be treated as such, late and careless.[/QUOTE]Take a look at post #6 in this thread, shows franklin made contact when hodge was in possession of the ball. It started at shoulder level then slipped high
Ump paid tge free kick because the tackle slipped high not cause it was late
As u saw in post #6 hodge still had possession when franklin made is tackle attempt
That allure of the flag trumps all prior notions of hatred.Strange world we're in where a lot of hawks fans want Dangerfield to get off (to beat Sydney) and a heap of cats fans are upset buddy didn't get weeks for belting hodge (whom they normally would love to see belted)
It is so ridiculous, but there is a far higher chance of Hodge missing a week because of a tummy tap than Buddy missing a week from 2 separate incidents.
I wonder if the MRP will recognise this irony or if they will forge ahead with the farcical findings we juat know they are going to make.
It would be a bit like Ali V the Japanese wrestler
Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki
You sir are a prophet.
This decision looking more dodgy after todays verdictsI dont think anyone gets surprised at the MRP anymore. All you have to do is ask yourself "What is best for the bottom line?".
And that answer generally involves Sydney making Grand Finals, so its natural that Buddy gets a free hit from time to time.
