Kingy, such a pity your team will be playing an afl standard team next week :p

Like watching the crows play, but honestly that was boring shit.

Got a midfield that just runs all day/night, should be good next week :)

We won by over 100 points. Not much else we couldn't have done. Imagine if Tippett and Knights kicked straighter.

I'm looking forward to next week mate - hopefully will be a blinder of a game, and will really tell us where we sit heading into the finals.

;)

Hope you boys have a good win against the Coaster's tomorrow....

You'll be due a loss!!!! :D

While Freo were pathetic today, we did play awesome and if we play like that, we are every chance next week, but still underdogs

Hope Geelong's injury run continues.... They have a ton of great players out and we've got them soon....

Would love to play the Saints in a GF ! Geez you guys would shit yourselves on the last day of September playing a club that you should have beaten in 97 ! ;)

Win a flag before the cheap shots mate, now **** off.

Easy mate, Trav's a mate - he rates the Crows highly, he's just having a laugh :)

The rewind button on Foxtel IQ will be getting a work out.
Agree. :)

Patrick Dangerfield guys.

19 possessions, 14 contested. DOUBLE any other midfielder on the ground. 2nd most of any players to play this round so far (Dane Swan had 17), 3 clearances, 3 goals and 2 goals assists.

Well on his way.

Awesome game by him - those intercepts were incredible, and he did a few of them.

The commentators made mention of it early - at one stage he had something like 14 touches and 10 of them were contested - they couldn't believe it.

He looks like he could be absolutely amazing... potentially top 3 in the League.

If we can keep this group together for 2-4 years, a flag should be well and truly achievable.

EDIT - Hahah, nice nick!!

Agreed. I said it to a mate while I was watching the game, I can well and truly see him being in the top 3 players in the league within a few years. That goal in the first quarter was special, and there were a few times tonight when he just broke a tackle like it wasn't there, just amazing.

WOW!

Was that a thrashing or was that a thrashing. To keep Fremantle to 1.7 for the ENTIRE MATCH is a fantastic effort.

Fremantle were there for the picking and, unlike last week, we took full advantage of Fremantle's weaknesses and had a great percentage booster.

Interesting game, mainly because I was in shock at how inept the Fremantle Football Club were. I guess it was similar to the game we lost to Brisbane by 20 goals but at least we managed to score a couple of goals, Freo scored ONE! They fumbled, picked absurd options, had the worst skills I’ve seen for an AFL club, had no intent to score all night, didn’t use the corridor at all, oh boy.

As for Adelaide, it has to be said that we were extremely good, flawless if you will. Great skill level, composed with our decision making, dangerous options up forward and defenders creating wave after wave of attack. We should’ve actually won by about 150.

A few notes on the players:

McLeod: Came to play tonight, great opening term and looked sharp around the contest.

Otten: Bit of a gun this week and I knew he had a fair bit of the ball but 27 possessions? Fair effort that.

Vince: Great response after a poor showing last week.

Symes, Doughty: Love their attack on the ball, make up for any deficiencies with hardness and ability to find the ball.

Knights: Not getting the same reward as he was a month ago but he’s putting in a power of work. 17 possessions, 9 marks and 5 shots on goal for 2 majors. Love his defensive work, strong tackling and had 7 marks inside forward 50, terrific contribution.

Mackay: Up there with the best players with 26 possessions and 6 marks. Was extremely unselfish as he could’ve easily blazed away and had shots on goal and I was even annoyed at times that he didn’t back himself. Have you ever seen anyone pick the ball off the deck as cleanly as he does? Always manages to get space on the wing, magnificent delivery into the forwards and had quite a few score assists. Does not waste a possession, love the D-Mac!! :thumbsu:

Johncock, Bock: All Australian the pair of them. :) I’d even go as far as saying Johncock is in the best form of his career, was outstanding tonight.

Maric: Obviously rucking against very poor/inexperienced ruckmen but I was impressed, especially with his second efforts and follow up work. Also laced out a superb pass to Knights on the lead.

Porplyzia: The Porpoise!!!

Tippett: Never, ever, ever leave. Gun! Whenever the ball is bombed forward I feel confident he’ll take the grab. Ridiculously good player.

Thompson: B&F.

Edwards: One of the quietest games I’ve ever seen him play.

Sellar: Not sure what to make of his game. I felt his ruckwork was reasonable without being anything noteworthy. Around the ground he was pretty average until he finally got a bit of confidence in the last quarter and had a good run down the wing. In his very brief spell up forward he looked lost. Will probably be retained due to our lack of options.

Dangerfield: I’m trying not to get too carried away. We’ve got a freak on our hands, an unbelievably special player. First half was just phenomenal. 19 possessions all up, 14 of which were contested, 3 goal assists and 3 goals himself. His first was Ricciuto like. How about his run down tackle on Schammer? This guy will be one of the very best players in the competition in a few years. Wait until he improves his fitness.

7 in a row, fantastic AFC! :thumbsu:

Never Mind that, Porpioiuoiyhesdfochazla or whatever his name is actually took his foot of the gas for once and coughed up a couple that he usually swallows in his sleep (I hope that didn;t sound sexual)

It was fking HUGE!

NickNat gets all the props for doing it (admittedly with the game on the line) but Danger was friggin' ridiculous tonight, and he's about a foot shorter than that scary looking WA freak. I reckon tonight was just a taste of what we can expect week in, week out from the bloke once he starts playing against blokes that are of about the same body strengt as him in the coming years

I;m Excited! he's gonna be a unique talent

Yeah......

The Porpoise ;)

I can't help but feel that this group is special........very special!

While we all rightly rave on about Tippett, Walker, Dangerfield et al, one plyer that doesn't quite get the same amount of attention as these lads is Mackay. He is a bloody good footballer! Seriously good! One of those player that knows what type of kick is needed in every situations. He MAKES players lead to the right spots and only great players do that. As much as I love Dangerfield and Otten, IMHO Mackay is on par with them in terms of talent. Clean as a whistle. Absolutly LOVE him!

:thumbsu: Couldn't agree more Stiffy, couldn't agree more.

Especially the bit about knowing what type of kick is needed in every situation, that is spot on! One of the cleanest, most skillful, intelligent footballers I've seen, and he hasn't yet turned 21.

i'm disappointed we didn't get to 35 goals!! :(

but i'd be lying if i say i didn't expect a 20 goal win tonight, and we got it, just thought the scores would be around the 160-40 mark

freo were completely inept tonight, they almost looked like they could be stuffed..

i think it's safe to say, we will never keep a side to that sort of score again!

this team should shut up shop and sell its license to Tasmania.

Its always has and always will be a basket case.

Still think we could trade McLeod in a year or two for Pavlich, thats the level of respect I have for their intelligence.
