Some people have to work and that was me today.
I'm happy for Simpson and Taberner but I thought we really needed Sylvia as well as Clancee in the midfield .
The Club must have decided Simpsons efforts for Peel needed rewarding .
TBH Sylvia has only played 1 full game for Peel and they must be asking him to play more WAFL and shine before he gets a game at the higher level .
My feeling is if he can show great effort this week he will play in the Sydney game along with Fyfe .

He's not a journo pleaser, but it doesn't make him a smug douche if he doesn't give them what they're so clearly chasing. He's generally pretty good if they ask even mildly intelligent questions.

If they haven't worked out how to get information out of him (i.e. by avoiding questions with an obvious narrative attached), then it's them not doing their job properly.

I think some of you need to let go of the journo-whipping. They have a job to do. Their job exists because we (society) like to read their thoughts. In the past, we have received negative press because we have deserved it - we were cr@p for much of our beginning. I am not sure whether or not this reality may have spawned some kind of insecurity, but over the last couple of years we have had some damn good press. We have deserved it.

I actually love watching Lyon speak to the media - the matador deflects the bull. While he won't take stupid questions like those posed by 'Shane', the contrast is that he provides some insightful comments. As a consequence, we read the media reports. Because we are society. Then some of us whinge. Interesting cycle.

He's a pro and consequently thinks comprehensively about the game.The journos wanted the 22.
