I mentioned in a pre season training thread how he was putting mile after mile into his legs in preperation for a more important mid role
He could become a clearance machine with his courage, great disposal and general footy nous
Could be the success story of 011

Considering it only took a bloke called Michael Barlow to pip him for 010, tha's some serious success over the first two years.:thumbsu:

The Lenny comparison? In terms of leadership - maybe down the track.

He's a proven winner down fwd, 6 goals in the colts GF. a couple of natural instincts come highlights this year too. One that could have been a goal of the round contender against the wiggles.

I can see the Lenny comparison and would take that in a heartbeat. To me though it's more Jimmy Hird, working through the middle and floating forward.

Someone mentioned Kouta in relation to Morabito ... that's worth looking forward to as well!

I made the Lenny Hayes comparison because with a lot more muscle weight I can see Fyfe becoming an inside midfielder. He's got skills, a nous for winning the ball and is not afraid to throw his skinny body into a pack. I don't think enough people have given Fyfe enough credit for his courage. For a skinny 18 year old to take plenty of pack marks and wrestle with big bodied seasoned players like he did this year it's very applaudable. While not being slow he hasn't got elite pace but he has got a very good fitness base.

I can see him developing into a super inside and outside midfielder.

agree with this, although i think he'll be most damaging working inside. his evasive skills close in are great and he gets the pill out to players who can run into space or offload to set up a forward 50 entry.
