I have transplanted some miniature roses from my mum's garden to mine.

Two are dying two are fine. I have beeen watering them a lot but they look like they're hanging on for dear life. Any tips?

Did you prune them right back before you removed them? If not, I would definitely do it now, with the ones that are struggling.

Maybe also put a box or something over them to protect them from the hot sun for the time being.

But that might not been a option.
Roses seem to like rich soil with no other plants stealing the good stuff from them.

The zipper thing come off, so gotta get wire to open the zipper to empty the bag.

Ideally yes, definitely, that’s when they’re dormant (except perhaps in areas where it’s hot all year and they flower all year).

But if you do it now, you need to prune it pretty significantly, pretty much so that the rootball you have left is about the same size as the growth you have left above it.

Correct. And ideally full sun, as a general rule.

I've pretty much pruned back all my first batch of roses now, I've only got one with flowers at the moment but it's a lovely pink floribunda that looks awesome.

It might like it there.

They say full sun.
But some full sun is sun on redbull.

Full sun out the front of the house is too much for most plants.

I’m more of a native plant expert as it’s the industry I’m in but your advice would be pretty accurate. With something freshly transplanted DO NOT apply fertiliser, seasol or a seaweed extract would be ideal as fertiliser will just stress it out more. Make sure the new location is well drained otherwise any new roots might rot off.

Looks like transfer shock, as Gough said cut it back and apply seasol or a seaweed extract product but don’t apply a fertiliser. Make sure your mulch isn’t right up to the stem otherwise it might rot it.

OK thanks, will try and trim it tomorrow and the put some seasol on.

When you cut them do it to where there's a five leaf node on the stem and in this weather it should be pretty quick.

Hard to say it will either go down hill quick or survive. Any of the pi ces you cut off you could try and strike a cutting so that if it does die you have an exact replica.

Had a few plants die on me last 12 months.
Red daisy bush randomly die.
New plant unsure what it was just liked the look of it..
Few others.

Have got lucky with some free plants so I'm probably still abit ahead.

Some Oct bloom.
Hopefully lots more bloom to come.

Looking good. Now you ought to cut off all the dead wood. Like what I’ve circled here.
