Having watched both finals on TV … I get the feeling our crowd is starting to show the benifit of 20 years of finals participation and a good level of success.

The Geelong chant seemed very strong at times last night. To the point of the post goal sonegs almost being inaudible..

Anyone at the ground conform that

I was sitting the same bay as the cheer squad - so had the noise from them and then the standing room guys at the back of the bay

It was loud & passionate all night - when we'd be kicking goals but also when Hawthorn would get a bit of momentum our noise would lift in response

As for the goal songs - could maybe make out the last lil bit before the song was turned off

It most definitely has. I was at the game and couldn't believe we were drowning out the Hawks fans at stages.

I'm glad you pointed out our sustained success as being the catalyst. This is why I disagree when people say that we've made so many prelims yet its all for nothing without more flags.

Its not all for nothing, as we are seeing, staying up the top is what grows a club. We couldn't compete without support from members and what builds a supporter base? Always being in a position to contend.

Haven’t watched the replay yet but live at the ground I felt Stengle was one of the most important players in turning momentum our way in the last 10 mins before half time. Super clean and creative. And then his finishing in the second half was just deadly.

So rapt for him after he played arguably his worst game for us in last year’s prelim. Hope he can replicate his 22 GF on the biggest stage again next week.

Honest opinion. Probably goes along with the success he has had… He sort of in that realm of Mathews or someone like that is just so competitive that he doesn't care how he looks. He is a bomb Dresden type of guy…his attitude is you do what you have to do to win. Can you taper than after a game. Maybe. Pretty hard to put on a mask when you have just had you heart ripped apart and stomped on by the Moggs Marauder
