Well, they kind of need to ensure that their players stick around. Weller, Neale, now Cerra.

You can't rebuild a list if all the good players use their first contract renewal as an opportunity to get out. Either they need to make themselves more attractive to remain in Perth, or they need to pick players that have no 'go home' factor.

Players are going to want to leave unless you can (essentially) make their new club a home, as we did with Gibbs. But then, what would it have been like if FA and the trading market was as it is now then?

The most popular choice for captain is Greene and he's incredibly undisciplined. They don't want to go back on the agreement with Coniglio but his form slump is alarming. They should have split the difference and gone for Kelly.
