I think everyone agrees that as much as Sunday was impressive (and fun), it is no real guide to top 4 (or even 8) potential.

Think that the Kangaroos and Hawks losses showed that one weakness is lack of hard bodies at the clearances. Too much reliance has been on Bartel and Chapman. Rooke would definitely help in this regard. Had a good game last week in VFL. Rotating Rooke through the middle may put some physical pressure on the Eagles runners.

Should come in for Chapman.

I can see where you are coming from, however i don't think Rooke is quite ready to come back in the seniors this early. Don't get me wrong. A fit Rooke is in the starting 18, in fact, i would go as far to suggest that he is in the top 5-8 most important players for our team.

With saying that, i believe he needs one more week in the reserves to get match fitness and make sure those hamstrings are fully recovered before he comes back and starts crashing packs. Ideally, he would come strait in and be given the job on Judd or Kerr. That being realistic is a total other question....

Hoff pretty much covered the gist of it all.

The question has never been whether or not we need Rookey's contribution, but whether or not his body is ready for the return. Aside from last weeks "full game", he's only played a few other quarters of footy alone after months out.

Asking him to come straight in and take Judd or Kerr would be plain stupidity. May as well run a book on when his hammy will go chasing those two all day.

Reminds me of when former Tiger captain Tony Free came in after a month off with a hammy and he lined up on Ronnie Burns of all players. Freezer was iced up on the pine before half time and announced his retirement pretty soon after.

We shot ourselves in the foot bringing Kingy back early last time so let Max have another week to get himself cherry ripe.

Thought we would have learnt from last year. NEVER EVER BRING BACK a player without giving them a proper run in the ressies

Got to agree with the rest of the boys, he needs another week, run him in the guts for the entire game, let him puff and get a full game under his belt. Prismall and stokes form both warrant a callup. I hope we only make that one forced change.

Agree with most, Rooke needs more time in the reserves, maybe only one more game, but with all his injury concerns so far this year we would be wrong to put him in the lineup not fully fit and keep King out.

Sure I know they are two different players, but we need to keep the people out who cannot contest 100%. I highly doubt that Rooke, after missing most of the pre-season, and also 5 games of the current season is ready to go and needs the callup.

Prismall and Stokes deserve the callup, they should be first in line.
