Can do whatever you want. You could nominate for 1 mil if you've got the cap space spare (which we wouldn't). It's only a 1 year deal. You then do your next deal for 100K - it's all about being able to afford it. J. Martin did 1.5 MIL from memory when he went through the PSD

Luke Ball to Collingwood did that, extremely high price but then 'extended' his contract for nothing out of gratitude to the maggies. It is illegal under draft rules to come to such arrangement as part of the transfer but it is hard to stop as nothing is in writing and it is non-binding. Mind you if things dont go well, there is nothing the club can do to make the player honour the agreement

Well it's no wonder why he'd be ok going to the PSD if we can front load for 1 year.

No club is going to pay Henry 600+ on a 1 year for him to just take their $$$ and do the same next year.

Pies were apparently offering him donuts initially... Even if he didn't get to us he'd still be doubling his $$$ next year.

I'm stil not 100% it would get through to the keeper... but getting Henry in the PSD and actually using pick #25 on a decent kid would be just about as epic as the Bowes win.

Might even buy my dog a Pies membership to thank them if it happens that way.
