Im the other way on this as ive said before. I like caddy as a player but im not sure an undersized FF is a list need (if he was taller and could pkay as a fwd/2ns ruck that would be different) and its a gamble taking him as a mid.
I wouldnt trade the pick until the night in case sanders or mckercher get through (they wont but id hold it on the 5 % chance) but i think when our pick comes some clubs who lack fwd line power (melbourne im looking at you, north is another one) would trade overs for caddy and id consider trading back.
I think Caddy could go alright on a wing until he develops a bit then throw him forward post-cameron.

But yeah. Melbourne should be aligning all their picks after 5 for him and if they do we should take it.

Maybe the cats have got wind that Neale may be keen to get back to WA at the end of his contract, and are trying to find his replacement now.

If neale was going to do that he would have gone this year when wce have an early psd pick surely? He seems settled here.

Depends on the offer but if they offer 13 and a future 1st id definitely take it. If it was say say 13 25 and 33 id be less keen but id still probably take it.

I agree. Lets target those North picks.

The issue is the cost..i dont want to trade any 2024 picks out and we dont have much this year.

You could maybe trade 7 for 14 and one or two of their end r1s 2024 (unsure if north would do that they might trade them to get 4 off gc anyway).

Cost ..yes ..but lets be willing to focus on them. What will North want ? They need to get rid of those Fr picks just in case those are taken of them.

#7 for all of North's 3 concession picks... 19 (this year) 19 + 20 (next year).

Seems good but I still don't know if I love it.

If we are seriously a shot at one or two of Cadman, JUH, and Smith next year then those two end of first rounders will be very handy to hold.

Single digit pick for three picks that will land after 20? I'd politely decline

For reference, and I'm not saying this is accurate, but the twitter account doing a mock run seemed to think north's priority pick landed at 25 this year.

Yeah I guess with North probably needing to trade them then maybe 14 this year instead of 19 this year.

So 14, 19, 20.

Maybe North gets more than what we can offer for all those picks... None of them are gonna be a prime talent though.

As I said though... could depend on if we know that we are gonna need some amo next year to snag a gun... The club will know what position they are in with potential trade targets more than me though.

I'm happy to use #7 on Caddy, O'Sullivan, Watson or Sanders though... whoever is left over from that elite bunch.

It will but thats misleading as the academy players were never available to us anyway. North priority is about the 20th live pick.

I think north will try and trade them all to get 4 bc sanders wont be there at 7. But id do 14 19 and 2021 19 for 7. Heck id do 7 for 10 and 17 (wb)

By the way guys, thanks for all the discussion in the past week.

I was stuck waiting 2+ hours for the Radiator Springs Racers ride at Disneyland (must-do if you're ever there). LA's early Autumn heat isn't pleasant, but this thread got me through those tough times.
Lighting lane and single rider is the go I can assure you.

And you must do Rise

GO Catters

YEP... as i've said a few times on here.
Sanders is the best pure mid in this draft.
Reid is the BEST all rounder.
McKercher a close 3rd.
Norf will be given a gift in Mckay comp and they'll organise a swap with the Suns.
Unless of course they (Norf) covet REID and hand over 2nd and 3rd picks.
