Shit hot we are signing Jimmy Barnes...heard he's a real working class man!!!Cats might be doing a deal to bring in Cheap Wines, as well as a bloke with three day growth. Not sure if either are the mystery mid though.

But keeps getting it. Not a bad skill. No no... please no... i'm walking away now as we dont need to get any slower than we already are.
Sanders might be the best this year ...maybe. But there were multiple players in that u17 teams that are going to give him a run for his money long term.YEP... as i've said a few times on here.
Sanders is the best pure mid in this draft.
Reid is the BEST all rounder.
McKercher a close 3rd.
Norf will be given a gift in Mckay comp and they'll organise a swap with the Suns.
Unless of course they (Norf) covet REID and hand over 2nd and 3rd picks.

God id love us to look at Ginnivan, i actually think the guys good for footy
There's some harsh critics. Lord is 21 with 13 games to his name Inc 4 in a final.
For a bit of perspective Hawkins kicked 21 goals in his first 13 games. Lord has 15.
We should have gave up on Hawkins then according to some here ... and that was actually the consensus for the first 5 years of Hawkins career until the 2011 GF.
I wouldn't go near the Collingwood depth players. Their top players are excellent and it was an amazing coaching job to get them over the line but their bottom 6 are average journeymen. MacRae earned 1 game all year in a team with an ordinary inside midfield (eg Lipinski being a regular). That suggests he's miles off it and it's his 3rd season.I dont disagree some given some of the guys selected ahead of him.
That said i think he will stay and break back in.
Its more likely some of their depth players like fin macrae and mcinness in particular as well as harrison, draper bianco etc get targeted by other clubs. Ginnivan might have interest as well much as i loathe him.
Ginnivan has a giant ego. No from me.
Ginivan could turn into a good player. But he's not in an area of need and not good enough to obviously improve us. We should back ourselves in with a guy like Dempsey instead.Ginnivan is actually not that good at football. Hill, on the other hand, was a bargain of Stengle proportions.
If suns trade for 2 it would be on the night not before it (because if they do the trade now wce might on walter at 1 anyway) same if they trade 4 out it will be pre arranged but only done on the night.
As for pick 1 i dont see it being for sale (if wce bid on walter at 1 its a dummy bid knowing gc will match it) wce know how good reid is and arent giving him up.

If there are any truth on Wines coming to Geelong ( which I'd say be less then 10% ) he would cost way to much in a trade sense. Contracted till 2026, id sat1st round pick and a high 2nd round pick
If we don’t use Dempsey I think we'll lose him.Ginivan could turn into a good player. But he's not in an area of need and not good enough to obviously improve us. We should back ourselves in with a guy like Dempsey instead.
Yeah maybe… let’s see how they go next year.Sanders might be the best this year ...maybe. But there were multiple players in that u17 teams that are going to give him a run for his money long term.
Literally any A-Grader in the midfielder would just about do it.So if we get Sanders we win the flag?![]()
Duncan, Danger, Hawk, 2E, Stanley, Guthrie. These guys are not gonna get better and there's a lot of pressure on the kids to elevate to next level but I don't think Bruhn, Clarke, Atkins Parfitt and Bowes are a threat to any teams and will get steam rolled again, unless we land Smith can't really see us doing to much better next year. We have one of the weakest midfields going around and we're still too dependent on Danger and Guthrie.Literally any A-Grader in the midfielder would just about do it.
But we absolutely need a clean bill of health to start with. Without that our season is ****ed before it starts. Pies were ragged at the end and just got over the Lions, but they were banking wins early in the season when they didn't have injuries. And when they copped injuries it happened after they had top 2 stitched up and could rest players.
Add a decent midfielder and Guthrie into a team that has now has gotten a full season into guys like Bruhn, Henry and Bowes to get them used to the Geelong system, along with anyone else we might trade in, and add in we have a full preseason + in theory an easier fixture next season and theres absolutely no reason we aren't top 4 and pushing for a Premiership.
None of the top 4 this year were impressive and flags the next few years are very gettable from the top 6.
Agree brizzy and the wood were pretty boring to watch today. Such a slow start stop game.Literally any A-Grader in the midfielder would just about do it.

First half was great, second half a dour struggle and not good to watch.Agree brizzy and the wood were pretty boring to watch today. Such a slow start stop game.
Set shot Stevie j style in a gf from 45.Ginnivan has a giant ego. No from me.
Or maybe he's more like the gfc premiership, Danger, Stanley, and Rohan?Hopefully that's the last thing he has in common with them.
I didn't see the sprint but as soon as I saw Holmes was in it I knew he would take the W.
