Holmes and Caleb Windsor, great wingers for the now and the next 8-10 years.
Small point, but Pies are NOT the challengers.
I do wonder if they can keep up the intensity a third year .
The evergreen Pendles and Sidebottom were crucial for them yesterday, and are going around again.
The heat did not deter their output, and their fitness as a team is way superior to all other teams.
This is an area we can not compete in, and will keep us from being legitimate contenders, UNLESS we can rectify this with our lengthy off season.
Our captain is said to do the BARE MINIMUM at training, and that is not leading by example.
As suggested above, but it is a big IF at present. To be fair we had an incredibly short pre season and that with a list with vets plus 1-4 yr players was always going to end in no endurance and injuries. Next year we will have a much longer prep and its possible with that that we run out games much better
We did have the wear and tear of multiple years late finals appearances and an older list.Collingwood finished 7 days before us last year. Doubt there was a massive difference in pre season length.

I would rather Lord more so than Wines. Who would have more value?Weird comment.
It's GF day, it's the pinnacle of our sport regardless of who's playing off.
Of course it's going to garner some comments in here. Everyone's looking at how the Cats can get back there, and they're looking at the many weaknesses an obvious challenger in Collingwood has.
It's been mentioned ad nauseum, but there's not going to be anything juicy until post the GF. It might even take till the start of the trade period, clubs are so tight lipped these days, the best we can get is any alleged 'ITK' news.
The Thomas thing looks dead in the water, Smith feels like a real possibility, but still a week or so away from anything legit been released.
Wines might be something, it might not, likewise Lord, and then there's probably some lesser names in the pipeline that we're yet to hear about.
Thw thread will heat up big time over the next month with the aforementioned names, and maybe even a couple surprises....but it's hardly strange or 'loser talk' that some folks are mentioning the GF. It's Christmas day for footy fans.
Would have been a little bit... They would have probably been back at training earlier than required and hungrier than ever.Collingwood finished 7 days before us last year. Doubt there was a massive difference in pre season length.
I think the club felt that a reduced preparation would give the players a better opportunity this year. Instead of resting players mid season they felt they would win enough games to make the top 4 anyway. They certainly will be better prepared next year. BANK THE WINS AND GET IN THE EIGHT IS THE NEW GOALWould have been a little bit... They would have probably been back at training earlier than required and hungrier than ever.
We probably partied, came back later, and were unprepared/less motivated
As suggested above, but it is a big IF at present.
I hope Danger's finals media commitments have made him even hungrier for another tilt.

Port wont agree to trade either so its irrelevant but port would want more for wines i think.
Has there been any talk about what our salary cap situation is. Do we have cap space to spend.
My impression was that most of them were directly on Frampton. Will have to check but my impression was a lot of those were when Frampton was on the bench.
Frampton was a walking punchline all game. If I was a pies fan and he wasn't delisted end of year I'd be ropeable.Anyone who thinks Frankston was good yesterday was watching a different game to me. 2 possessions, drops an absolute sitter 25m out from goal at a crucial time and his opponent was huge in the second half. Collingwood were playing man short up forward for the whole game due to his ineptitude, and if they had lost he would have been absolutely roasted by all pies fans.

Difference being that Kolo was fantastic in our GF win last year!!!We talk about Frampton how opposition fans talk about Kolo
catempire I blame you for this. You called a quiet off season too early
He does make an error from time to time but is that enough to continually crucify him?We talk about Frampton how opposition fans talk about Kolo
They didnt have exactly the same list profile as us though re their young players in particular.
Collingwood had the 4th oldest list this year. Not exactly young
It is if you spend the next month or two drinking heavilyCollingwood finished 7 days before us last year. Doubt there was a massive difference in pre season length.
They didn’t celebrate a flag like we did thoughCollingwood finished 7 days before us last year. Doubt there was a massive difference in pre season length.

It's amazing Nathan Kreuger still on there list... he be delisted when his contract is up ( footy wire saying next year)Frampton was a walking punchline all game. If I was a pies fan and he wasn't delisted end of year I'd be ropeable.
