As we are now getting into the season and we are starting to get a bit more serious with discussion, seems a suitable time to post the following as it's repeatedly shown itself to be a value reference tool in trade & draft discussion

And as per normal, thanks to Lore for putting this together - always a fantastic reference tool

And yes this post is now stickied - makes it easy to keep track of (can easily reverse this though if needed)

I’ve watched a bit of Tsatas recently and dunno if it’s just me, but I’m getting some serious Kane Tenace vibes. Outside player, huge wheels, kicks like a donkey, allergic to the contest.

Kane was touted by many “experts” as a “guaranteed 200 game player” prior to his draft, and look how that turned out.

Not at all convinced on Tsatas.

Very very week draft so... it maybe you are onto something . Just feel that the clubs know a lot more now than then.

Verrrall is one I mention a while ago. Very athletic ...would have to be a convert to backman project.

Foster I think looks more a mark and kick type... so more a forward but he can take a mark...

Why would Verrall have to convert to a backman? He's 200cm, perfect for a ruck. Interesting that SA coach said he's as good as Barnett when he's up and running (source).

I would be happy with any of the below

1. Ashcroft
2. Wardlaw
3. Sheezel
4. Cadman
5. Clark
6. Humphrey
7. Phillipou
8. Tsatas
9. Ginbey
10. McKenzie
11. Allan
12. Busslinger

Therefor I'd be happy to trade picks 7 and 58 to the bulldogs for picks 11 and 21.

I can see the logic in it as far the theoretic difference in players talent 50 something to 21.. twomey had some names slippinhg thru that would be handy... of course at this time of year ..the names have been talked about so much they are all November champions.

Again... limited viewing but id think he relies on his spring a fair and has questionable endurance. Like any of these guys you do not really know till you see them in your system.

After Cal's underwhelming phantom, I'm putting my nuts on the line and going against him with my REALLY out there final phantom, haha - just for something a bit different (doing a Top 30 as well for posterity):

1. Aaron Cadman (GWS)
2. Will Ashcroft (Brisbane - matched North bid)
3. Harry Sheezel (North Melbourne)
4. George Wardlaw (North Melbourne)
5. Mattaes Phillipou (Essendon)
6. Bailey Humphrey (Gold Coast)
7. Elijah Tsatas (Melbourne - Live Pick swap of 14 and Freo Future 1st with Hawthorn for Pick 7 and Pick 41)
8. Jhye Clark (Geelong)
9. Reuben Ginbey (West Coast)
10. Cam Mackenzie (Saints)
11. Olly Hollands (Gold Coast - Live Pick swap of Gold Coast Future 1st and Pick 45 with Carlton for Pick 12)
12. Jedd Busslinger (Western Bulldogs)
13. Matt Jefferson (West Coast)
14. Ed Allan (Hawthorn)
15. Brayden George (Sydney)
16. Jacob Konstanty (GWS)
17. Jaspa Fletcher (Brisbane - matched Collingwood bid)
18. Harry Barnett (Collingwood)
19. Elijah Hewett (West Coast - Live Pick swap of 23 and Future 2nd for Sydney Pick 19, due to GWS looking to take him with their next pick/Freo looking to move up)
20. Josh Weddle (GWS)
21. Darcy Jones (Fremantle - Live Pick swap of North Future 2nd with GWS for Pick 22 due to West Coast looking to take him with their next pick)
22. Lewis Hayes (West Coast)
23. Olli Hotton (Western Bulldogs)
24. Isaac Keeler (Essendon)
25. Lachie Cowan (North Melbourne)
26. Max Michallaney (Adelaide - matched Hawthorn bid)
27. Jakob Ryan (Hawthorn)
28. Alwyn Davey Jnr. (Essendon - matched Collingwood bid)
29. Charlie Clarke (Collingwood)
30. Max Gruzewski (St Kilda)

Your probably going to be closer than Cal this year, only part I disagree with is GC trading back in for Hollands, if they wanted him so badly 7 wouldn’t have been offered to us

I thought that at first too, but they were always going to trade out their Future 1st due to Walter being a likely Top 5 bid - so this makes sense to get back in a bit later, and back themselves to finish around the 8-14 mark, already. so the pick isn't that much different...but it'd get swallowed up by a bid anyway.

Also, added bonus of making it more likely that Elijah stays, so that's my reasoning. No idea at all if it happens or not, but there has been a fair bit of talk that GC want back into this draft around that mark, to snare Hollands - as they really rate him and would have grabbed him if they didn't have such a high pick already.

Any highlights/info for Verrall - would be very interested to see someone who's rated in the same vein as Barnett

I've said the same.

See we got linked to mitch szybkowski. I love him. Surely we can’t be that lucky. What a pick he would be. His kicking is elite and he gets his hands on the ball First so many times. Has Chad Warmer written al over him. Love the way he breaks lines. Tough. Such a Geelong style player. Noah Long would also be good

If Szybowski made it all the way to our Pick in the 50's, we wouldn't be able to read his name out fast enough!

I'm not sure about that. I'm 95% sure we'll take a KPP with our last pick. I'm hoping it's Lemmey or Foster.

Billy Dowling is another Cal linked to us with our late pick. Pretty wild SANFL U18 stats: averaged 30 disposals and kicked 18 goals across 12 games. One game he had 44 disposals and kicked 4.3.

44 disposal, 4 goal game highlights
