IMO it is worth bearing in mind just how bad things have to get for a club like the Dogs - which has not had a huge amount of exposure to the top of the draft - to burn a number one pick like that.

It wasn't a clean pick 1, they're not WCE. They had pick 2 the next year.

And if we consider the publicity that the Bulldogs have been fielding around this issue for the past 6 months, if he was back at the club in something close to resembling full-time with training etc, then they'd be the first to shout that from the rooftops with pushing the positive, redemption side of the story

The fact that it's essentially the opposite with Beveridge all but distancing the club from decisions around JUH's future, gives something of a clear indication that things aren't progressing in the direction they would have wanted

But you said this before the start of trade period?

"Don't expend any oxygen worrying about Oliver. He is not on our radar and I'm told he never was. Club is not prepared to pay overs and carry that length contract, and there's some serious doubts about off field indiscretions that have gone some way to contributing towards Melbourne's issues."
Are you having a crack at a poster for posting their “mail” that didn’t come true?

And we couldn't get near it when Dangerfield was in his absolute prime so to assume he alone will take us to the glory land this year is a bit of a stretch.
My quote was you saying we won't win or contend if Cameron goes down etc.. im saying now, we will still contend with him or not.. As we speak Dangerfield is our most important Forward line player. As Cameron only good game came against Adelaide. Dangerfield been playing good all year.
I love Cameron ❤️, but Dangerfield is just as important or even more, playing for us in his current position

Ok, but Cameron is still going to end up kicking 60 goals (he's been poor and still kicked as many goals as Dangerfield) so take that away and you think Dangerfield will make up for it?

Losing Cameron would be worse for our forwardline for a season moreso than losing Danger from our forwardline for the season.

OHenry isn't Danger, but can do a similar role to a lower level.

Cameron is the only player this season I would back to kick 6 in a match.
Danger CAN, but I don't think he will.

Does this seriously need to be explained for a third time?

Yes, other players (and young people) do these things. This has been repeated several times.

Those players however, aren't on leave from their club, or doing these things WHILE their team is playing. Again, repeated several times.

...And on the 1% chance that they are - they're not dumb enough to post about it on social media showing us what they spend their time doing.

Rounding back to the original comment on bad optics, which you questioned ⤵️

I then explained to you that it is not the literal action (E.g the dessert bar) of what he is doing, it's the optics under the circumstances.

You then responded with this, which has no relevance whatsoever, and I'll explain why.

Clearly you are being naive about it, because nobody is jumping to irrational conclusions. We're not even talking about them.

We are literally basing the conclusions off the information Jamarra is providing us himself, and the 'bad look' (or optics) that it's created for both himself, and his club.

Whether you or I think he's off the rails or not is irrelevant. The point is that is the media narrative (I.e the optics) thanks to his behaviour.

Can you see now why I might come across as a bit condescending in this exchange?

You either aren't actually reading the discourse, or have just misread what I've been posting completely and confused it with someone else.
il summarize it again.. because you still quite don’t grasp what I am saying

We don’t know what he does with his spare time (fact) and no, a few 15 second video clips don’t give us his entire day.
I also never said I don’t understand why people think that way, media will run with anything negative they can. I am just going not going to be naive and say I know exactly what he is doing with himself and make judgments when I have nothing besides a few clips and gossip rumours. I don’t care what the media make of it. You are showing black and white thinking with your replies

you are correct in that we dont know what else hes doing. He could be training all the day every day and that was his cheat session.

He may also not be training everyday, ****ing off completely on someone else's coin and hanging with a bunch of total dickheads.

We dont know either.

The one thing we do know is that his judgement, not ours, aint flash.

If you ( meaning JUH) aren't smart enough to read the room and are putting yourself in the camera culture doing silly shit WHILST being on leave for personal reasons then you (JUH) open the door for all kinds of assertions - such as listed above.

And its not a single incident to this point - so yeah, id say he devaluing his brand and relationships with those that matter pretty quickly.

GO Catters
I agree. We just honestly don’t know besides a clip of a kid drinking a martini and smashing a dessert what’s going on and a few similar stuff. The rest of his day is gossip and rumors. Funnily enough this is Chris Scott’s pov also from footy classified what I am saying

Please don’t tell a North supporter we couldn’t get near it.

Have to say …. watching Reid in the Ess and WCoast game … he has trained off a little. Still contributing but the glow has dimmed a little since his first year. Losing does that I guess. Im not 100% he would be in the Geelong side atm at his current level of preparedness.. thing is… I doubt he would be like that is he was here. Just makes it even harder to benchmark a value.

He has stalled a bit. He looks very disinterested in being at the club
