I have heard from a Few Sources that the Gold Coast could be intrested in Blight as he would be out of contract player.

He has Big-Upside and if he does not play much AFL he could see going to the Gold Coast where he would play AFL a very good Option.

Hope he does not but it could happen if we don't re-sign him

I wouldn't be too concerned with rumours about Blight.

The only way Blight will end up at the Gold Coast is if he is part of a package deal for one of their very high draft picks.

I'm confident Collingwood will sign up all it's uncontracted players by about mid year, thus stopping the GC from stealing any of our uncontracted players.

The only players we will lose to the GC are players we simply do not want.

It's WSYD I'm more worried about, as everyone (including us) signed a lot of thier players up at the end of 09 for 2 seasons, and there are a hell of a lot of players coming out of contract at the end of 2011.

It gets less credibility when they cant spell Malcolm correctly.

If they are referring to Malcolm Blight (aka the former Kangaroos player, Adelaide & Geelong coach and commentator) pretty sure I heard they are no relation.

I think that was all bullshit mate. I asked him about that, and he never mentioned that they ever guaranteed drafting him.
