Fremantle played well on the weekend, came out hard and made us pay on the scoreboard, nicely done. :thumbsu:

Loved seeing all the fights happening all over the ground, we don't see enough of that. Will probably see a few WC and Fremantle boys get sighted, but from what I saw, it all looked okay.

Carr is one of those player you love to hate, but you have to admire how he played on the weekend. Would have been given the job by Harvey to get into our players heads and he did it well. Hurt us going the other way too, had a great game.

Your the first eagles supporter to say something "good" about Josh Carr and Fremantle all weekend. Some of your mates need to grow up a bit

It was one of those games in which footy admirers in my family sat down to watch, even though they support neither side, and all said the same thing: "that's what we love to see in footy...where is it these days?". Pretty much a blend of old fashion 'macho, drink a tall glass of cement and harden the f*@! up' sort of physicality with the newer generation pace and tactics and a hint of rivalry. You probably couldn't ask for a better game of footy no matter who won.

I don't care what anybody says, this has to be one of, if not the best sporting rivalry in Australia and I have been to and support with a passion in the NRL state of origin (and would absolutely kill to go to a Derby). Mind you it's rare that either sets of supporters are willing to stand back and acknowledge that the bickering, the insults and to an almost unfair and dangerous extent, bottle throwing, really does just add to the competitiveness of it (I am not condoning bottle throwing and think it's a low act but in the passion of the game it went unnoticed for a couple of minutes until Josh Carr came back on the ground and they replayed the incident).

Having said that nyar nyar, sucked in, w00t! :p
