I've asked the quesiton of who is better before, and Deledio wins.

Anyway, Deledio statistically is better and as a onballer/forward is more dangerous. Griffen plays alot of his footy in the backline, and isn't as effective.

obiously i am wasting my time here, cause it is quite obvious you know jack ******** about anything. Stats mean hardly anything, its what they do with them that counts.

to say they mean jack ******** is stupid, they arent the be all, but they are still and indication.
Griffen has been fantastic in his career to date, but not as good as what some are suggesting

Maybe a better comparison would be to do the following set:

Deledio
Griffen
Birchall
Mundy

fans of each club seem to talk them up and it would be interesting to see how they went on exposed form and what others think of them

Disagree and agree. He's been good, not fantastic but nowhere near as good as people think.

Honestly, the most exciting thing about Birchall is that he's younger than the rest of them. Deledio is in a league of his own compared to the other three. He had nowhere near as bad of a year as people are suggesting.

yeah probably went a bit over the top with fantastic, would be more then happy with his output to date, but maybe the actual output he has given has been over hyped with the mass love fest for the doggies.
Would be more then happy with him but would still take Deledio.

try this one, dont know if its what he had though
Exactly what I had and when you read it all 4 are very close for the year. Birchall averages more touches, Deledio takes more marks on average, Mundy took more marks overall but layed more games than the others, Griffen is the superior tackler and gets more frees.

Going by average rankings for that site Deledio is 77, Birchall 70, Mundy 66.5 and Griffen 66.1

Would like to see the figures next year if they each play all 22 games excluding finals.

McLean has played about the same amount of games as all those blokes, and is so far ahead of them it isn't funny.

Those guys all appear rto be good young kids who could end up as guns. McLean is a gun who could end up a superstar.

p.s. out of that list I reckon Griffen and Murphy are a fair bit better than Deledio and Birchalls so far.

Where's Murphy on that list?

That final siren stat list proves that Deledio > Griffen.

And I realise that stats don't mean anything, but Deledio as a onballer/HFF is more damaging than Griffen as a HBF/onballer.

Oops, Mundy not Murphy - well in that case I'd have Mundy back behind Deledio.

Stat wise i can't argue against lids - but check out Brock's numbers if you want something impressive. :D

True, which is why I rate him, also like Deledio he's one of the few players who blends playing outside and inside. He can get the contested ball, but can also recieve the pass and slot it home. IMO McLean > Cooney, Hodge, Griffen, Deledio and Murphy. McLean >>>>>>>>>> Goddard and Wells.

Which is why I rate him higher than Cooney, who is more of a forward/midfielder, McLean is more of a pure midfielder.

I just don't see why everyone creams their pants over Murphy. He has only played 13 games, i'd like to see if he still has those figures after 50 games. Plus, his first year was on par with Deledio, yet he is purely and only and onballer, can't play forward. Yet every Carlton fan tells us that he's better than McLean, Cooney and Deledio. Get f***ed.

delidio hasnt done much to date, neither has griff but if you look to as who will have a brighter carrer griff wins hands down, he has more natural talent than delidio, no disrespect to all the tigers fans but the two will both be stars, griffen moreso.

Coming form the guy who thought that Deledio was 23. :o :)

get all of those guys stats for the finals they played :thumbsu: see who performs best under the pump

How can you say that. Birchall is two years younger than the closest one of them and this was hit first year.

Birchall will be better than McLean.

Man you jerk off over McLean every night dont you.

Must mean the Demons are light on for young talent.
