There's no doubt Grimes can play. I was keen on him in last years draft myself until swapped out of round 1 for Wood.

I hope he goes well.

We did better than Brisbane out of the trade, I will say that.

young Jack captain of vic metro from hurstbridge and the northern knights who the dees rate highly - pick fourteen but had back problems and has overcome themm and good 2 see bails giving the fella a crack at afl level before the year is out to get his confidence up and see how he goes - a true leader and alot of talent to go with it a 10 year player in the making - a real ball magnet in tac cup so hope he can adapt wel to the highest level - mad dees supporter to as a kid so even better

Why don't you wait 5 years before you judge a player. Obviously too young and naive to know anything about sport. Especially AFL.

Grimes has nothing to do with the Collingwood football club. He was never on our list, we never had a realistic chance to grab him. We never decided to get Wood over Grimes. It has very little proximity to our club.

If we were super keen on a player available at that pick then the deal for Wood wouldn't have been done simple as that.

We probably would've taken McCarthy at 14 if we had the chance knowing our recruiting.

I don't think in 2020 I'm going to look back and say we could've had Jack "Grimey" Grimes.
