At least it wasn’t a cover done by a corporatized children’s group chosen for nostalgia and lols, I guess.
What year was that one? I’m assuming it was one of the ‘all time’ polls. I remember Joy Division having a resurgence in popularity after the 24 hour party people movie came out.

...one of our vents has come loose again this afternoon after supposedly being "fixed" this time last year.

We run evaporative during the day and yes everything gets damp, then AC split system at night so we can sleep.

Those vents are poorly designed and the materials are unsuitable.

I replaced the heat vent that was above my work from home desk with a metal one because of the noise. The metal one was so much better. I decided to do the whole house based on my experiment and found out they are discontinued.

Not even close to hot here Kraks. Never lived in a house with cooling until l was 55. Hardly even turn on the evaporative cooling now.
Been a few years since we had a proper heat wave of 40+ for 4 or 5 days here l reckon. Mastermind or someone will know. God help the snowflakes when that happens ! ( probably blame Dan )

There are parts of Australia where it gets that hot or hotter for longer but central western NSW isn't actually one of them.

Melbourne heat and Perth heat are very different.
One dry, one extremely humid.

Played cricket yesterday and today.

Had a t20 game today where the opposition needed 31 to win off the last 9 balls and they ended getting 30 and forced a super over. I bowled it, took 2 wickets and kept them to 5 runs. We then hit the 1st 2 balls for 4 to win.

Had 3 beers and almost flaked it, had to go home, have a cold shower and a sleep.
