Gaso has an 18 year old daughter so he doesn't need a Nigerian Prince to drain his bank account.

Time for genuine grumpiness.

Checked my mum in for a procedure at her local hospital (metro) just now. The hospital has its own check in system with a set of questions. This is straight forward for the patient but not so for a person who is accompanying the patient unless they knew the various codes that needed to be entered into the mandatory fields.

Ok... In the end it is not a big deal but I have always had a thing about online forms and I get really annoyed with forms that are badly designed or which are difficult to fill.

Mrs Kraks came home last night in tears, from her side she was trying to her job (in Public Health Service)
Being told she is disgusting and formally complained against when let down by coworkers and her boss and yet still trying to be a good person and get something sorted for someone meant she broke into tears at work and was emotionally spent last night
It’s not the person on the phone sometimes, often they agree with you, it can be their hands are tied

I love not dealing with public though

Her bosses will back her, she is very good on the phone, just it’s not fair she has to cop some peoples petty crap when she is just trying to do her job

In these circumstances, I wish it was normalised to bloody give back the same energy they gave her.

her boss should be backing her up more Krakouers !

I used to tell my staff that they weren't paid enough to put up with that crap on the phone, and to forward the difficult calls to me, ( I'd get the staff members side of the story quickly before i answered the forwarded call ) then I'd deal with it.
If they kept being rude, I'd warn them once that this conversation won't be continuing if they keep going like they are. if they continued then, I'd hang up on them. Much easier doing that when you're the boss though

totally not cool your wife is feeling like that at the end of a day, and her manager is being paid the bigger bucks to sort that crap out.

It’s only due to her manager wasn’t at work that time, usually does back her though due to having good work ethic and putting up with a lot (similar stories every so often)
Got thrown under the bus then but always tell her pass it up the line as she isn’t paid enough to deal with it
Have done my time in dealing with public and much prefer not dealing with then
Funny though, always gets threatened with the old “Ill complain to the health minister…” yet nothing eventuates from that :p

They never complain ( and I work in a similar industry to your wife). Just phone "hero's"
I didn't mind the phone calls (easy to say "I suggest you call back when you calm down" then hang up)

it was the difficult staff I found hard !

Sigh yeah... plenty of them too

With all the lockdowns and stuff, like most people these days I haven't driven that much in the last couple of years. But unlike most, I havent bloody well forgotten how to bloody drive.

Red lights mean stop - not speed up and go through just because you drive a tradie ute. Roadwork speed limits are a bloody pain and 40 is freakin' slow but it is a legal limit so have some respect for the blokes leaning on shovels or lining up traffic cones. Lane changing is not a human right - look, and do it when there is a gap not just a flick of the indicator and go. And when there is a lane closure for road works, you are a campaigner if you drive up that lane anyway then expect some dickhead two cars ahead of me to let you in after I've just jammed up the gap you thought was your god-given right to occupy. Roundabouts are associated with give-way rules - it isn't a game of "dare".

And don't get me started on cyclists (no, not the roadies who ride Nepean Hwy - I mean the 12 year olds who's parents obviously don't give a shit and let them ride without helmets).

In the words of me when I'm driving - you's are all campaigners.
