The hangovers were killing me.

Figuratively.

Not literally.
It is strange, i more or less plateaued in my late 20's/early 30's and never suffered a serious hangover since, but never felt 'great' now as i approach my 70th decade i'm fairly confident my cognitive ability has declined and i am on the road to early onset. I do drink a lot less alcohol but still tie one on occasionally. I guess the clock catches up with each of us in different ways but one thing is for sure, it does catch up :)

yes that was the one, i thought it was WC cooler.

West Coast Coolers were the second to the party marketing cash inversion of island coolers ... we really have to start referring to the eagles as the Coolers from now on don't we.

Mate if you've made it to your 70th decade then nothing about you is early onset.

Just realised I meant to say 7th decade not 70th!!!! See I told you I am losing it 😝
Jeepers, you've just made me feel old now as I am already in my 7th decade ....... might be time to join the Blue Oyster Cult, or the Grave Dancers Union .... Can I yell at clouds now? :-D

I'm the same. I drank a bottle of Southern Comfort on my 1st legal New Years eve.
Never touched it since, just the smell brings back memories. 😄
Ditto. Cost me an eyebrow! Who needs enemies when you have friends that do that shit.....

Synthetically brewed beers did it for me, paeticularly carlton united products, since deinking naturally brewed beers those cracking headeches afe few and far between.

Marque Vue wine for us on this side of the ditch. Cheap and nasty !
just cant go near sparkling wine now

Im also a reformed drinker.use to love it, but got so sick of the hangovers. A big night for me now is 4 stubbies then a cup of tea. Plus a puff if the wife isn't watching !
Had my 4 pints now waiting for my cup of roobois to cool enough to drink.

Never mind dropping toast buttered side down, surely those curly corn flakes that turn into a cross between a milk geyser and an unrestricted garden hose on full bore, are the work of the devil.

Clarkson effect: Almost a month since a grumpy post.

Well... If I sit down for a quick coffee, I get this. It is good on a cold day I have to admit, but it can sometimes be an hour before the moggie decides to wake up and move which gets me into trouble most days.

You cannot move if you have a cat sleeping on your legs as far as I know.
