Turns out they were looking in the wrong car park which the police kindly told after she contacted them to report the car stolen

My wife lost our car when she & a friend went to Geelong shopping back in the pre mobile phone days, I was wondering why she was late getting homeMy worst was at a Grand Final - can't remember which but in the early 90s. I parked at 6am as I was working in the media. Once the media gig ended, about an hour before game time, I went looking for my car. I don't go to GFs unless we are playing. By now the car park was full. I had lined up my car with a landmark but was now all out or whack. Took me two hours and only found it because two coppers came past on bicycles and I told them I thought my car was stolen. They started riding up and down the rows and found it. I was about 100 metres away.

Might have had a couple.... However we were pretty much sober by the time we found our setup.
