Prediction Harry Sheezel - Can he be the GOAT?

Really struggling to make an impact this year.

Wasn’t impacting games in the midfield and been moved back down back where he’s getting easy stats but not being damaging.

Taken a step back this year.
Sheezel is going through the standard curve. Outstanding young player gets more defensive focus and has an initial drop in production - he'll work through it.

That’s a false equation. Can work either way. I rate Sheezel but being the main handball receiver in a struggling team isn’t the same as in a great team. You also have to think that if you’re a poor team the opposition doesn’t bother tagging you or going as hard at it. And you also have to factor in the big game / finals part. Sheezel hasn’t played many games at that level of intensity so it remains to be seen how his game adapts to it. Again, I rate Sheezel very highly but it’s never as easy as saying ‘if he was with X he’d be called the best in the comp’.

I honestly think the “opposition don’t bother tagging or defending or going hard at players from bad teams” has to be the worst take in footy?

What on Earth gives people this idea?

I’ve seen plenty of tags on bad teams.

Sure, GAJ at the Gold Coast. Sheezel though, you might need to wipe those glasses.

Lol. He's not even the best player in a very bad team

You see this thread bob up on the main board and it's like...

Tom Cruise What GIF

Before you're in the GOAT discussion - shouldn't you at least have several AA's and finals achievements to your name?
I don't really get why this thread even exists. This is like the next level up from those "Could be the best player in the comp in 5 years" threads.

If memory serves me right, Harry is another unfortunate victim of the Carlton Collingwood shitfight epic and this is a bit of a meme thread about whether Nick Daicos can the the goat.

You've misunderstood. Each Mad Monday North players dress up as a different farm animal.

Look what your thread did BringFevBack2021. Are you happy?
In the face of adversity Sheezel looks over his two broken ankles, winces and tells the physio to strap them up. He might be going at 60% rat power but he works his way through. Nobody will ever know that he is the only player in VFL/AFL history to play through two broken ankles (both compound fractures, might I add)

That is what makes Sheezel great.

Imagine him without two simultaneously broken ankles. Wow.

The Olympics level of mental gymnastics required to praise one player for the same thing you criticise another about is truly impressive. Note that Sheezel yesterday had 32 touches for… 1 CP, and that’s after being trialled in the midfield and shifted out of there to go back to high HB. Remind you of anything? Note also that he had a grand total of 3 SIs with his touches so not a lot of rebound based scores.

Guess you can’t expect too much of people who use contested marks or hitouts as a measure to judge a 184cm midfielder.

Regardless watching Sheezel kick the ball is truly a work of art. Beautiful skills.

Maybe it's because the other thread was created by a Collingwood nuffie and is a complete circle jerk that should be confined to your board.

It should have been an obvious red flag to North's recruiters when he refused to be drafted by teams outside Melbourne he didn't have what it takes
