... DeGoey is that you?

Not surprising seeing a s**t misogynist opinion defending an (alleged) racist

Gotta keep those 1950s values alive some how. Better stick together.
If someone who’s opinion I actually respected said that I’d be devastated. However in your case, on a scale of 1-10, my care factor is about minus 13. In other words I couldn’t give a flying what you think or say.

Misogynistic! Rubbish. What if Clarkson had addressed the same comments to a male reporter? I suppose that makes him a misandrist, does it?

“Your time will come” is hardly a physical threat, despite your and Aristotle Knucklehead’s attempts to portray it as such.

Reporter needs to harden up a bit, or switch to reporting on Fashions on the Field.
It’s not 1965 anymore, Keith.

I would have suspended him indefinitely until the current accusations are adequately answered, including evidence, not just Clarkson's word or side of the story.

I think what has been reported is reasonable grounds for dismissal, if his side of the story can't disprove what has essentially already been proven.

Nothing has been proven.

You can feel sorry that North and Brisbane supporters through no fault of their own are caught up wondering about the future of their senior coaches. As an Essendon supporter I’ve been there, it’s not enjoyable.

You can also hope that the past players and their families receive the support and justice they deserve.

These aren’t mutually exclusive.

One can walk and chew gum and all.
In the context of mcnultys posts on here and the comment "leave off on North and Lions supporters who are the victims here" I thought it important to remind him who the real victims in this situation are and not just some people who happen to support a footy team whose coaches have been accused of something horrific. Comparatively calling them "the victims here" seems a little out of whack.

Oh.

Is an apology enough for threatening a female journalist doing her job?
Of course it is. He's learnt through decades in the AFL that he can do whatever he wants, as long as he apologises afterwards. Never has to actually modify his behaviour, just apologise after the fact.

Will North sanction him at all for this? Or is his apology enough?

Edit - after reading the comments on the North board it's no wonder the footy industry is filled with such toxic people. People will excuse/justify any kind of behaviour if they think the person will help them succeed.

It's a really weird thing to say given the context of what she was there investigating.

Nothing has been proven.
It's been proven enough that the ABC could print it comfortably in the knowledge that it's probably true. (Truth being their likely defence against any defamation action).,

Keep in mind that what they did was possibly not a crime, so will never be proven in a criminal court of law. And it likely won't be proven in a civil court either because there's so much evidence that the insurance companies will insist on a payout.

I don't know what more evidence than multiple sources about multiple incidents plus text messages and emails? In my eyes, it's proven enough and unless Clarkson can provide evidence to the contrary, then I'll know what he is (not much of a stretch from what I already knew he was).

Wut?!?!? Aside from the logical absurdity of your position (that a broadcasters report thats “probably true” should be somehow be determining factor in the course of natural justice), this was just three weeks ago.

If you can't tell the difference between these two events (one being a quickly put-together news broadcast) and the other being two detailed investigations which specifically mention corroborating evidence then I'm afraid you can't be helped.

What exactly would have to happen for you to believe Clarkson did what multiple people are saying he did, and can prove happened? Do you need CCTV footage of him doing it? A confession?

It seems people will just keep saying "innocent until proven guilty" to excuse some of the worst behaviour simply because it suits their love of their football club and its heroes.

Maybe Barry Cable should still be allowed near junior football since that's innocent until proven guilty too??

Or.... he could have just kept his anger problem under control and said nothing even remotely intimidatory towards the reporter.
I mean, the reporter could have accepted that it was just empty words. It's not like Clarkson has a history of punching......oh wait, yes, the more she knows about Clarkson the more she should be worried that he can't control himself.

If a journalist has a right to physically door stop, accost and shove mic in ppl's faces then I'd say a verbal f*** off, however articulated and whatever decade is warranted.
Reporter : “So Clarko what can you tell us about these allegations of threats towards women by Tarryn?”

Clarko: “know you’re place girly! You’re time will come!”
