The sun ran a quick story on champion data ratings for the coming season.

Insane rarings with hawks about 130% of the next challenger sydney then the rest all close to each other

Is that your opinion ? Shame on you and your Blasphemous ramblings !

How dare you not join the 3 peat ****fest ???

Haha too true. How dare someone says that the hawks won't go 3 straight! That's way too harsh on their fans who think that 2015 will be a shoe in.

dry your eyes princess.....

how dare a supporter base have some confidence in their side based on past performances!!!!

Are the new sleep chambers the swans are using some sort of time travel device to go back in time to pretend 2014 never happened?

Spangher wins Premierships.

2006: WCE
2012: Sydney
2013: Hawthorn
2014: Hawthorn

4/4 ;)

Last year I think most people would have considered our older blokes as Sewell, Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne, Hale and Lake.

Only time will tell... and that may include adding Danger or Sloane...

Lake, Hale and Mitchell to hang up the boots at the end of this season to clear room in the salary cap for Daingerfield.

Sounds like a pretty daunting prospect that I would love to see. Could mean that the Hawkers might be looking at 4 flags on the trot!

Be pretty special to see a team write themselves into the history books like that.

How many players who have won the JJ Liston have gone onto become something in the AFL?
I'd say not very many at all.
In fact, we just de-listed one of them this year.

Take Mitchell out of your final series and you lose to Port Adelaide, in fact, take him out of the middle against Geelong in the 2013 preliminary and you also fail to win the flag that year.

Bobby as much as I love the Geelong v Hawthorn rivalry, you just keep lowering your own colors further and futher with every post.

I'm pretty sure that Sam Mitchell won a JJ Liston Trophy in 2002 while playing for Box Hill and from the arguments that you have put forward you seem to be trying to imply
that without him the Hawks would not have won flags in either 2013 or 2014.

So you're convinced that Sam Mitchell the former JJ Liston Trophy recipient single handedly won the Hawthorn football club 2 premierships.

So why would Hawthorn fans not get excited when Woodward has won the exact same award while developing in the VFL?

All of the arguments that you put forward are full of holes. Then there is that fact that you make these bias statements and seem to read the replies to them with your eyes closed.

I'm afraid to say that I think these Hawkers might be right mate, it's just sour grapes.

What rot. Most Hawks fans think we can because, well..........we have won the last 2 and appear at least to be among the better teams again.

The general consensus amongst us is that we definitely can but that by no means = we think we certainly will.

Most Hawks will only fire up against some of the ludicrous comments others spout as to why we DEFINITELY WON'T.

Mate, Hawthorn's unbridled success is eating him up with every single breathe he takes and in every fibre of his being, and it's just hilarious to watch!

He will accuse you of being a Hawthorn Alias if you keep owning him like that.

that's great but only three blokes over the past 20 years have gone on to become good to brilliant AFL players . . . Edwards, Podsiadly and Mitchell. If your trying to mount a case for Woodward over the basis Sam Mitchell became a player then he's up against it I'm afraid. Especially when you factor in Hawthorn's predicament in those early days. They were languishing outside the eight for years on end and had to change over a fairly mediocre and aging midfield which comprised of such names as Vangenberg, Crawford (champion), Lekkas, Smith and co, so Mitchell was able to get into the side and remain there for a couple of years on end even though he was not putting up stellar numbers (11 touches first yr, 17 touches in second, 18 touches in third) and he was able to develop as most kids do in a fairly average side.

Woodward is not walking into a team languishing outside the eight, they do have some holes to fill in the coming season or two but as for Hill, Lewis, Shiels and Smith, they aren't going anywhere and it will be a case of trial error with the rest of those players named, including the JJ Liston trophy winner Alex Woodward.

it's a good thing I have a life outside of using this website for 2 hours a day then ;)
I do enjoy your opinions though. Your a funny bunch all high and mighty and seemingly unbeatable after sneaking into your past three grand finals. Just don't crack the shits when it all backfires in the coming years is all.

Podsiadly and Mitchell should never be used in the same sentence bobby. Ever
