Confirmed tonight by Triggy that we will play in the same jumper as last year.

Personally i dont like it - but will save on the hip pockets of those who bought last years piece. I would post a picture but i dont know where to find one.

Is the idea on wearing SANFL jumpers in bay 114 still the go?

Hmmm... bit disappointing, yeah. You think they could have tried something else. But, I suppose being the 70's round they had to honour the SANFL clubs again and why they won't bring out the yellow '30s jumper. Not sure whether or not I'll get one now, or maybe I will and just keep it for wearing.

And yeah, wearing SANFL colours is still the go I reckon. Still don't know whether or not I'll come in a Dogs jumper or my SA jumper with a Dogs and Crows scarf.

I loved that 30's guernsey and really wish I had of purchased one. Would have been my first and only crows one if I had.

would it have matched your cushion?? :p

I still like my idea (because its my idea:thumbsu: )

The crows should wear the SANFL gurnsey of the SANFL premiership team (that would be Eagles this year, yay). Therefore acknowleding our SANFL roots, and promoting the league.

It would be great, and an even greater reward for the SANFL premiership winners.

only thing that could go wrong is that Port could have a whinge and so forth, but in the case of Port winning the SANFL grand final, the crows can...unfortantly....wear the state gurnsey :) (haha)

Everybody I've ever spoken to in the world ever has told me that the yellow heritage jumper was easily the best one we've had thus far and that it should be brought back and used every year and, more importantly, be made available for purchase as soon as possible because I really really want one.

Last years sucked ass.
Maybe we should have a design competition sorta like Port had. I would submit this as my design and would urge everybody else to do the same.

mmm going by the general consensus that everyone loves the yellow heritage state guernsey i should put mine on ebay and see how much i could get for it :D

we really dont have too much to be concerned about in the heritage round... we are the adelaide football club, formed 1991.... lets wear our guernsey, the blue, red and yellow stripes and show how proud we are of our great guernsey.

Although I thought the yellow 1930's jumper was pretty good, and obviously everyone here liked it, its not really appropriate this year as they are specifically celebrating the 70's, not the 30's.

If last years jumper included the colours of each of the SANFL clubs in the 1970's, and I think it did, then it would seem logical to me that it is the appropriate one to wear this year. Personally, I didnt mind it anyway. I thought it was easily recognisable as a Crows jumper, while including pretty obvious reference to the SANFL and its clubs.

Also, FWIW, our history as a club may only goes back to the formation in 1990, and our first season in 1991, but our heritage goes back 100+ years to the beginnings of football in South Australia. History doesnt mean the same thing as heritage. An example might be that I personally am of English heritage, with my ancestors migrating from England around 50 odd years ago. However I was born in Australia and have never been to England, therefor my history extends only to Australia. Just because I have never been to England doesnt mean I dont have English heritage, and so because the Crows were formed in 1990 doesnt mean their heritage is limited to that time.

Totally agree and I say it every time this arguement comes around

With it being the 97 reunion would anyone want to see us run around in the premiership gurnsey? It may not be 70s but it is our heritage and we should be proud of it!:thumbsu:

I think one with the 97 premiership on there would be the goer.

the only reason you changed in 2006 was because adidas has this "revolutionary" guernsey design which didn't allow for the yellow cuffs worn previously and has those stripes down the side, same for collingwood- though you cannot tell the difference in collingwood's because of the stripe design.

I'm still going to attempt to get Ben Hart involved with us for the R14 game, hopefully he'll give us one quarter of his time during the game if he can.

Anyone want to try Nigel Smart? :D

I would post a picture but i dont know where to find one.
Here ya go
