I wonder if he was coming into the system now whether he would have been given a shot in there. He's a great natural footballer
Moves like a midfielder
Back in the 2000s, Crips would have been a forward.

Well I guess must have missed that. Could you post footage or even the story of Tex "yelling racist abuse at players in the stands". I can't remember that happening. Are you sure you're not smothering this memory with mayonnaise to suit your virtue signalling agenda?Bingo.
Fans yelling racist abuse at players in the stands is a lifetime ban.
But a player leads to a wet lettuce leaf sanction and an awkward 1v1 with the victim.

Tex, instead, copped a wet lettuce for being 5m away from a player on field (while not even playing) and hurling racial insults his way.
Wow, a Richmond supporter finding a way to complain about Geelong in a completely unrelated thread. I'm shocked to see it.Imagine the extra fawning if he played for Geelong?
Yes,great player but we have to shield ourselves for the Dangerfield Naicos mayo fests by the boy's club media.
Is this you saying Adelaide was the better team and Richmond only won because we didn't show up?Kicked two goals but part of the reason Adelaide didn't do so well is because he didn't play anywhere near his best, which is very good. You could argue he was one of the players that went missing, especially given he was captain.
Yeah reckon you were absolutely a better team during the H&A. Thrashed us. By the time of the grand final we had improved a lot so even if the crows did show up I would still be confident. Is this you saying Adelaide was the better team and Richmond only won because we didn't show up?
For the sake of accuracy, he didn't do this
Not a defense of what he did, but people love to add mayo

Sorry, what did he do?
He didn't hurl any abuse at any player. It was a private conversation with another person. An Adelaide official heard it as he was near Tex and then dobbed him in to the club, who then went to the AFL about it.Are you trying to be deliberately obtuse?
Fans have been suspended for shouting racist abuse at players, from sitting in the stands.

There’s nothing “virtue signaling” about stating facts.
That said, people deserve the opportunity to grow and change. The issue people have, which seems very pertinent in the AFL right now, is that the AFL doesn’t punish properly incidents when they originally happen - making it hard for fans to properly forgive if they can’t see proper punishments doled out.
Even the most ardent Crows wouldn't call Tex a gentleman and a scholar.Didnt he threaten to take a local burger joint to court for calling a burger the Big Texan? Decent footballer but a bit dimwitted and managed to somehow make himself the victim post his racial slur.

OkYou got to play the game on your home ground in front of a majority Richmond crowd and your players got to sleep at home all week. This was the key difference, alongside Crows not showing up.
