The reason Prof Sutton is no longer so prominent is that under the strong effective leadership in Victoria COVID has been contained. A significant part of which was sorting out the colossal mess due to Slippery having no pandemic plan in Aged Care. The reason Prof Kelly, the new CMO, (and Murph too in his present role) remain in the limelight is that Slippery and his muppets still have major unresolved issues.

With the umpteenth HQ breach in NSW just today I think we can all agree DAN! has been completely vindicated of any responsibility and can now be rightfully viewed as purely Victorias savior.

Id imagine there are plenty in this thread that are keen to profusely apologise.

Reality is the NSW version is not the same as the rest of Aus. See the numbers of returning passengers before anyone tries to run this as a political point scoring exercise, feeble as it is.

Difference is now every state knows the covid app is a ****ing joke whereas back then we believed it was the equivalent of SPF 1000.

It's hilarious, the other states have had more breaches yet combined they're still what, about a qtr of Victoria's total cases? About 16 weeks less of lockdown than Victoria.

Just shows they can cope, one outbreak in Victoria spells disaster.

Yep, other states have competent contact tracing teams, Victoria took weeks to realise it had even leaked out of HQ and that it was already out of control due to the private security guards who then worked at other locations, drove Ubers etc.

Notice how these other states it doesn't even spread to their housemates, let alone run wild through the public.

Competent system with proper, trained personnel makes a very big difference.

But you can't blame the security guards, why would they have thought there was any health risk when the Government didn't and judging by their appointments to the hq version 5, they still don't!!!
