Why is one form of illegal driving behaviour acceptable while another isn't?I’m okay with it. People who habitually exceed speed limits need to be taken off the roads though

Excessive speed has been shown to cause more harm on impact. But this wouldn’t be something you care about so I’m not sure why you askedWhy is one form of illegal driving behaviour acceptable while another isn't?
Entitled drivers sitting illegally in the right lane cause frustration on the road, which often leads to road rage, tailgating, and other bad driving behaviour due to frustration (as eddiesmith alluded to).Excessive speed has been shown to cause more harm on impact. They don't pull you over though, they just take your photo and send you the bill. They'd have to chase you to pull you over, or have been driving on your tail.Except the police won’t pull over those people, they’re only interested in the people really speeding.

Fine then. Drivers shouldn’t sit illegally in the right lane. Nor should any driver tailgate or succumb to road rage. Someone without the capacity to avoid a tantrum at the possibility of losing 10 minutes of their tv watching productivity shouldn’t be behind the wheel.Entitled drivers sitting illegally in the right lane cause frustration on the road, which often leads to road rage, tailgating, and other bad driving behaviour due to frustration (as eddiesmith alluded to).
Try to be consistent about laws if you're going to take the moral stance, otherwise you come across as a hypocrite.
Giving habitual speeders a few speeding fines quickly over a few months due to a proper blitz and that will give them cause to rethink their habitsThey don't pull you over though, they just take your photo and send you the bill. the new speed detecting equipment that can identify speeding on a lane by lane basis on freeways will sort a few out.Giving habitual speeders a few speeding fines quickly over a few months due to a proper blitz and that will give them cause to rethink their habits

they'll b extensive. and apart from u not knowing where they r there r mobile versions. Not really, fixed cameras that everyone knows where they are are the easiest to avoid.
Or if on a different freeway, open the map app on the phone which goes “Speed camera reported ahead!”
Low level speeding is such a minor issue to get on your high horse over. Car maintenance and courteous behaviour (including examples posted) are far more important imo. I view people staying within their lane as another issue more worthy of focus than low level speeding.Fine then. Drivers shouldn’t sit illegally in the right lane. Habitual breakers of the speed limit should absolutely have their licence removed.
It’s hardly a moral stance to say that anyone who regularly puts their own desire to drive fast ahead of the safety of others should be prevented from driving. Leave the cars to people who do care.

Low level speeding is much the same as masks. Why get worked up over trivial issues?
Regardless, I can pretty much guarantee that the level of focus on speeding you want would pull 30-50% of drivers off the road. No government is stupid enough to piss off half the voting population for no benefit.
I'd blame both. Tailgating and illegal right lane hogging are equally responsible imo.So
I think you'll find the entitlement of the person that road rages is what causes the road rage
You're suggesting people that don't speed or get out of your way are to blame for your aggressive and dangerous driving
i suspect that life is going to give you a lot of disappointment.Speeding is an issue.
If drivers like you are pulled off the road, that’s great.
Well no because you're saying its the fault of the person in front of the tailgater for being tailgatedI'd blame both. Tailgating and illegal right lane hogging are equally responsible imo.
How hard is it to obey the road rules:

While ignoring the sweet sounding 8's.I'm waiting for cameras that issue fines for driving without mufflers on your shitty Golf R.
If you're hogging the right lane illegally and someone tailgates you, I dgaf. I have bigger fish to fry.Well no because you're saying its the fault of the person in front of the tailgater for being tailgated
Not really, and I’ve lived a fair bit of it. I just don’t think that people should seek a licence to perform any task, or join any licenced occupation, without some willingness to consider the reasons behind the licensing and the safety of others. And unlike many, I don’t carry an expectation that everyone will do as I do. And I probably get some compensatory rewards in happiness and lower blood pressure without tailgate bullying or road rage incidents.i suspect that life is going to give you a lot of disappointment.
Probably the most impressive and masculine post ever seen on this site. I bet people are in aweWhile ignoring the sweet sounding 8's.
But when they drop the speed limit for no reason then send the cops out every single day to catch Speeding motorists, it is nothing more than blatant revenue raising.
I noticed CityLink which is 80 and often littered with cops was able to safely raise the speed limit to 100 when they felt like it and no major accidents occurred.
Because doing 10% over the limit makes me a daredevil, right? I presume you live it up by jaywalking. That's a story to tell the grandkids one day.Not really, and I’ve lived a fair bit of it. Of course I do miss out on opportunities to flex online about what a daredevil I am with the habitual speeding and so forth. I mean you must earn heaps of admirers
Cheers mate. I thought much the same.Probably the most impressive and masculine post ever seen on this site. I bet people are in awe
