I'm fine with a lib wipeout as long as we don't end up with a massive labor majority.

Minority Labor with a bunch of decent independents and minor parties is the way to go so Labor can't do whatever the * they want

yeah it's a tough choice, on the one hand we need independents to keep labor in check but on the other hand we could see avi and friends literally lose the will to live 🤔

We've seen Dan play a bunch of independents in the last parliament.

Yep. At best it will be a chooks breakfast.
yeah well the voting rules currently in Vic are ****ed, can't argue that

shit effort from Andrews to do nothing about it, must benefit him hey

Wouldn't surprise me if Brett Sutton decides to quit as Chief Health Officer, citing the differences of opinion he had with Premier Daniel Andrews over Victoria's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially Andrews's decision to end the pandemic crisis & legislation without the consent or advice from Sutton.

I'm sure the flood victims will appreciate being used as props to serve a political interest, wherever they end up.
I mean I'd rather have somewhere to stay than not if my house was waist deep in water.

This is exactly the sort of thing they can and should use Mickelham for in an emergency situation

I think the most appropriate approach and what will end up occurring is that they will be supported close to their homes, existing support networks and broader community.

That's what happened with Black Saturday. The support went out to the people, the people weren't dragged to Melbourne.

Whether Mickelham is used or not used remains to be seen, but I think it's utility is limited in these types of situations. Rochester is close to 2 hours away.

Looks like its happening

Why isn't there a plan for it to be opened immediately for flood/fire emergencies? For many there may be no need for it by early next week but would need it over the weekend

Seymour and Euroa are 55 and 90 mins away. Plus all the places in-between. They could be bussed up and back. Agree it would be great to house them closer and they should be able to open the facility faster.

They were housing people in an unused aged care facility in East Kew after the black Saturday fires, not everything is next door
