yeah it's a tough choice, on the one hand we need independents to keep labor in check but on the other hand we could see avi and friends literally lose the will to live

I think the most appropriate approach and what will end up occurring is that they will be supported close to their homes, existing support networks and broader community.

That's what happened with Black Saturday. The support went out to the people, the people weren't dragged to Melbourne.

Whether Mickelham is used or not used remains to be seen, but I think it's utility is limited in these types of situations. Rochester is close to 2 hours away.

Seymour and Euroa are 55 and 90 mins away. Plus all the places in-between. They could be bussed up and back. Agree it would be great to house them closer and they should be able to open the facility faster.
